But other parts were like wtf!?!?

How can you mad at white people for adopting aspects of black culture when black entertainment/culture is marketed as hip, cool, and "in?"

This isn't cultural appropriation, it's capitalism.

im all for black people standing up for racism and injustices. But the whole "stealing our culture" thing is absurd. You make profit off of selling clothes and music to white kids then get upset when said white kids are influenced by your style and arts and try to emulate them?

Check the source of the OP. The tweet timeline is at the bottom. He tweeted the hash tags for the speech and Jessie Williams with merely, "tho..." as an indication of his support. The journalist Ernest Owens immediately sprung on Timberlake for "cultural appropriation" and sort of vaguely demanded reparations or...hell if I know, he basically just wanted Timberlake to admit he was an evil white man who has lived lavishly at the expense of black people (presumably because black culture and artistic ideas are a finite resource which obviously doesn't bear on reality at all).

Then the Twitter fascists joined in, so Timberlake was immediately apologizing for being taken out of context. He doesn't owe anyone a damn thing, but it's his own fault for praising a speech that-- indeed-- quite concretely vilified him not just based on his skin color, but on his individual career as a musician and entertainer.

That's why you really have to roll out the Trump playbook with the CRT SJW's. The only political rhetoric they respect is a verbal billy club to the back of the head. This explains my post above.

I really think that a lot of this contention is just people not knowing when to shut the fuck up. A lot of this race baiting crap leads to fueling of the fire. How is any of this back and forth helping anyone?
