I wonder how much her dad leaving when she was nine has influenced her relationships. Her father leaves when she's nine then her husband leaves her for another woman. The feeling of being abandoned can cause people not to fully engage and trust that others won't leave them. Someone leaving can be worse than someone dying because they choose to leave. It's better to keep relationships as friendships than to let them get closer.

I know after my divorce, I could never get that close to anyone again.

I'm not much of a celebrity worshipper, follower, but I thought I remembered many years ago Brad Pitt saying all she liked to do was smoke pot or something; whereas Jolie was more "worldly" and full of higher plateau type purpose.

At the end of the day, with someone I hardly know as a person, you can hardly know how they are in relationships. I think your theory is as good a guess as any, other things I'd throw in as possibilities:

- enjoys freedom that being loaded has to follow her own whims
- likes new car smell (i.e. meets so many interesting / powerful people that the old car loses some lustre after time)
- just plain old can't handle conflict/fighting well perhaps from something that was from an early age
- after being married to mega star Brad Pitt she feels like everything else is a relegation prize and feels pressure from others to couple with a certain kind of person that deep down inside conflicts with her inner self

And could also me some mix and match of all these factors and others; it doesn't have to be all of just one thing.
