JDS tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide.

If there was a reasonable explanation, they wouldn't be going the tainted supplement route. They'd simply announce Junior was on the med for X reason while under the treatment of Y doctor. However, fighters know they are tested and so are very aware of what they ingest or take. The fighters I know are fanatically careful of what meds and supplements they take, as much for fear of the loss of respect and legacy as for the career impact.

I would have not been surprised if he would have got caught in his second fight against Cain (he was jacked af), but lately he seemed to have slimmed down a little, funny he gets caught now.

I actually take the same thing for my genetic heart condition.

Jon Jones' brother was caught around the same time he was caught for PEDs. That is too much of a coincidence.

Most athletes who are serious about winning and are winning, use PEDs. Even Peyton Manning used PEDs and blamed his wife, and the media swept it under the rug.

They are all on PEDs. They just haven't been caught.

There is a also a psychlogucal bias reserved for one's favorite fighter too; Even if you suspect they're on something, you'll give them the benefit of the doubt; on the other end of the spectrum, you'll be more suspicious of the fighters you dislike and quicker to accuse.

At any rate, I know MY favorite fighters would never stoop low enough to take anything illegal.

Not gonna judge. Some guys just need a little help...

I take hctz does that mean I'm on the juice?
There's no reason, assuming he didn't have medical condition that required it - which he isn't claiming - to intentionally take it except to mask the use of something else. There is a not-bullshit possibility he had it in his system accidentally though.

"Smart PED use" is getting caught and flamed by millions of people then claiming it was a tainted supplement? Fantastic plan.

Not sure about your point, are you saying he's clean and that was actually a tainted supplement,

or are you saying he just fucked up his cycling therefore he's not the smartest PED user?

If he has a prescription then its no problem I'm assuming he doesn't hence the flag?

I've been on High blood pressure meds since 29 (genetic) and Diovan 80mg with 25mg of HCZT which is what junior was popped for.

If he doesn't have a prescription well ....no logical explanation then.

If the drug, for example Viagra, was really tainted then the pharmaceutical company that produces it would do a huge recall and it would make the news.

Then legit kind perhaps but the black market kind I don't think so...

What is hydrochlorothiazide?

Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention.

Hydrochlorothiazide is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

Hydrochlorothiazide is also used to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, or kidney disorders, or edema caused by taking steroids or estrogen.

Nate Diaz was right.

Having a prescription isn't an out. You need a therapeutic use exemption, showing that you need it and a non-prohibited alternative isn't an option. There are a ton of guys in elite sports that get their PEDs from an MD. If you have a legit RX for not bullshit reasons, you can often get a retroactive Tue though, but that's not how it should be done except in emergencies.
