    Jauregui gets by Huerta!

    Former IBF world champion Javier "Chatito" Jauregui (53-14-2, 36 KOs) claimed the NABF lightweight belt with a twelve round unanimous decision over titleholder Miguel Angel Huerta (26-9-1, 18 KOs) on Friday night at Cicero Stadium outside Chicago, Illinois. It was a competitive contest throughout, with Jauregui overcoming a knockdown in round ten to win by scores of 115-112, 115-112 and 117-110.
    Unbeaten jr lightweight Brandon Rios (16-0, 10 KOs) battered Alvin Brown (26-11, 12 KOs) in round one and dropped him for the count in round two. Time was 1:10.
