Media Jan Blachowicz doesn't think Jon Jones returns to UFC because 'he's afraid to lose so much'

Meh. I still think he’s looking for 1 last big payday.

In other words he’s fine retiring and he’s fine fighting for a lot more than Dana is offering. But he’s not interested in anything in between.

I have seen nothing but supporting circumstantial evidence of this hypothesis for years, and have never seen any circumstantial or actual evidence that contradicts it.

I agree. But I don't Jan was the best LHW had to offer at all. Coreys, Jiris, Rakics guys like that who should have scared Jon.
Nobody is LHW is scaring Jon Jones, maybe Ngannou & Cyril Gane at heavyweight.

And here come the usual haters in the commentaries...

They always bring that Reyes fight :

But they never talk about that :

Against GSP

Or that :

Both GSP and Khabib had far worse media decisions than Jon Jones.

Khabib wasn't even a champ against Tibau...

And according to MMA decisions, Jon Jones only had 1 controversial decision in his whole career : http://www.mmadecisions.com/fighter/623/Jon-Jones
The difference is, Jon was coming off the juice, and Hendricks was loading up on it.

I think LHW's more of a challenge than HW. But goat Jones has earned the benefit of the doubt in all situations for sure.

He may well be right, Jones now reminds me a bit of Rumble during his endless "bulking" phase.

Jan is older than Jones and was a gatekeeper(you could argue he was worse than a gatekeeper) during Jones peak. Jan didn't get better a) LHW got worse and b)Jan frankly had a lot of luck, the path really opened up for him.
I won't disagree with that but I also saw him outstrike Izzy and even out-time him. And very few strikers have done that to Izzy.

That's why I say I'm really not sure on Jan's level. He was indeed less than a gatekeeper and he lost to Jiri but I can never forget him out-timing Izzy on strikes. So I really want to see more Jan to see if he's not a lot better than I thought or if his Izzy fight was lucky.

Of course, his picos were lower.

It doesn't take a genius to see what happened to him. He was doing great until he had to reduce the juice.

I don't think he will be back either; he will do a Khabib and run away before losing.
He's pretty much done and on the verge of retirement. Why not juice it up because at this point he has nothing to lose. He'll get his big paycheck and accept his 48th steroid punishment and never fight again. Just thinking about it.

I'm a Jones hater, but I will give him credit: he doesn't fight like he's afraid to lose (unless you count the relentless cheating). When I think of someone who's scared to lose, I think of someone who fights very conservatively to eke out a victory.

Jones isn't afraid of losing for the right price but he's absolutely afraid of losing for 400k. Make of that what you will.

Yea jones just trying to stay relevant by doing absolutely nothing. he thinks he has a legacy, but the legacy he has is nothing but steroids, spouse abuse & criminal activity.

I think he will fight again, but he will wait for somebody he thinks is beatable, and I think the same held true for GSP. He waited until he had a guy he wasn't afraid of losing to, fought once, and disappeared again. I wouldn't be surprised if Jon Jones pulls the same stunt.

Spot on.

If you think Izzy is really good that matters. I don't. He's reigning over the worst non HW champion in MMA history. It says on his record he beat Romero but I can't find record of that fight actually existing.

I think a lot of LHWs would beat Izzy. I don't think it was a special thing on Jans part.

He will wait until Stipe turns geriatric. Then return and beat the beat or second best ufc hw champ ever and create unwarranted hype
Let’s not pretend after this long a layoff anyone with a pinch of savvy would want to fight any other top HW but Stipe. Get real

Lol, yes I think Izzy is good. I even think he's great.

I think a lot of LHWs would beat Izzy, but VERY FEW would out-time him in striking. I think that was super special on Jan's part.

I agree the fight with Romero was a stinker but we're talking skill, not entertainment value here. He may not always be fun, but I think he's very skilled and I don't recall many fighters out-timing him like Jan did.

This is true, that's the main reason why he wouldn't stop with the PED's. Also people's talked about how insecure and scared he'd get before fights.

Can you see Jones vs Lesnar?
