It probably wasn't a high priority to return to the cage quickly when all on the horizon were rematches. It's really too bad Ivanov made a mistake and Volkov pulled off a snap sub against him. Now it's like, rematch Volkov, or rematch Kongo. It's not very palatable. IMO, Bellator has to get creative to keep his interest, and fans in the division long-term. Be that throwing a stack of money at Konrad to return, extracting Kharitonov from M-1 (Coker has a relationship), fast tracking Sos, etc.
Interestingly enough, Tony Johnson is back on their roster. He had a falling out during his previous stint which led to his contentious departure, but I guess he either blamed the previous regime, or he's desperate. Either way, that's a good addition. Johnson has the wins over Black Beast, Garner, and Lopez. Only losses are to Cormier and by controversial split. There's another hope.
