And now he's boxing... against Jake Paul...? Seriously? Boxing? Only with his fists?

This is a pretty clear case of Askren taking a big paycheck for a loss. Hope he makes a few million off of it.

MMA's reputation? Dude, to the mainstream, MMA is low class pleb trash.
To hardcores MMA viewers, MMA turned into a trash circus a little while ago.
Only casuals might get their view changed by this.

Seriously, good for Askren. He will get a nice paycheck and get KO'd. Cimenting his legacy as a meme. Not many people can claim such achievement. Can you?

I've written messages inside this thread about the possibility that the Boxing fight between Jake Paul and Ben Askren will damage and ruin the reputation of MMA.

I hope that someone can stop this Boxing fight from taking place. The fact is, MMA is a brand-new sport.

MMA can't withstand anymore punishment. MMA already withstood way too much punishment from the Boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor.

The MMA fight between Randy Couture and James Toney seems like a distant memory nowadays.
 
Let's face it, Jake Paul after he KOes askren is going to get even more tail than he does now

I have zero idea how good/bad Jake Paul is, and from what I've seen from Askren, he ain't what you'd call a boxer. Not even close.
