Jake Paul reveals Anthony Joshua’s ‘kryptonite’

That’s exactly what Hearn says in this interview today. Anyone still thinking this is gonna be a fix should read what Hearn says. If anything they’re looking to make a statement
Make a statement - against jake paul - lol
Also said he will retire if it happens, imagine him trying to bullshit his way out of that one.

He said Joshua historically struggles against shorties. Ruiz 2 was one of his easiest wins, and if he didnt brawl him in the first match he likely drops him later in the fight again. he got carried away
If he didn't lose he'd win.

Give Cruz credit, he won.

AJ can make a statement that it's time these inexperienced "boxers" stop challenging him and other top level fighters. Otherwise they'll only continue to be knocked into another dimension.

He ducked wilder and Fury
Vladimir, Povetkin, Whyte, Kubrat Pulev, Carlos Takam, Joseph Parker, Usyk, Daniel Dubois. There is literally no way the guy who fought these monsters would consider duckin Wilder even for a second...
Wilder only has one name of those - Loss to Parker. But... he has two wins over Luis Ortiz. I am not even decent fan of boxing with much knowledge, but this looks like comparing their records is like comparing a iphone to a calculator watch from the 1990s

Any excitement I have at the thought of Jake Paul getting slept comes to a screeching halt when I remember the "Don't hurt Jake" clause in all his bout agreements

And if you read further on the subject:
“But then when you dissected it and what it actually it was, it was kind of like a rights fee – ‘We own you for this amount of money’.

Those are pretty hard titles to get though. You can still be a good boxer and not be good enough to be a British champion, that's a pretty high standard.

It's a given that Joshua dwarfs any of this of course.

Yeah I was thinking what the hell. Being an English boxing champion is really remarkable.

An English boxing champion is merely national level. It's not even British level or Commonwealth level. In the context of Jake facing a world class (world level) fighter in AJ, English national championship level wouldn't cut it. The point is that Jake is levels below AJ. This fight wouldn't even be sanctioned in the UK.

I agree it's levels below AJ.

I was juste remarking that being a national champ is an incredible achievement in absolute.

But relative to AJ's career it is indeed a small achievement.

What do you mean an English boxing champion isn't British level ? Not commonwealth level in understand but not British ? How so ?

We all know this, he’s just attention seeking!

An English champion is viewed as a regional champion, not the national champion, as that would be the British champion.

Even though commonwealth champ should be a better title, a champion over dozens of nations, it’s just not seen as prestigious as the British title. I think there’s a couple of reasons for this, but it’s mainly down to consistent quality. You can win a commonwealth title against an unbeaten fighter, from a country where the domestic scene is not particularly strong. That fighter could, and in many cases is levels below British champion. To win the British title you won’t get an easy fight as the domestic scene is so strong.

It’s also viewed as more prestigious than a European title. Most elite level British fighters will look to win the British title as a stepping stone to world level. It’s a big deal over here

They are difficult to win generally speaking but I'm looking at it purely from Jake purporting to be world level. We can aim much lower, say for a national title. Would Jake be able to win an English title if he were an Englishman? I don't know. Tommy Fury has yet to win it and he beat Jake. His half-brother Tyson won the English title in his 8th pro fight, if I recall, but the result was controversial. The majority of observers felt that McDermott should've won their first encounter.

To Tyson's credit though he won every title along the way to world level - national (both the English & Irish national titles), regional (British & Commonwealth titles), continental (European), and intercontinental & international titles.
The problem I see with this is Jake’s footwork isn’t as good as Joshua, and any speed advantage is gonna be negated by Joshua substantial reach advantage

While I believe Joshua sparks him out, if somehow
Paul manages the opposite….

The entire legitimacy of the sport will be ridiculed for years.

Literally ZERO pressure on Paul here….Joshua has the entire sport on his back.

{<hhh]
definitely, and lately a lot of things have happened to make the sport look bad. Jones vs. mma guy, Ngannou-Fury, Tyson-Paul. It shouldn't be that way unless someone is absolutely physically incapacitated.

This fight still boggles the mind though, what should happen is AJ should blast Paul out early and Jake won't ever know what hit him and I don't get why Jake, who's been brilliant in his getting money and attention, wll, the jig will be up. Where does he go from being a badass who picks on people who can't read a kayo punch coming at them to being kayoed by a pro who's way bigger and experienced?

Don't forget Holyfield vs Belfort even though it was an exhibition match.
