News Jake Paul retires from boxing (or is calling out a retired boxer)

I hope he means it, but mainly because it would mean Woodley wouldn’t get his second cash-grab fight he was so desperate for afterward. Out there looking like Nick Diaz after the Condit and GSP fights, complaining and demanding a rematch mere moments after he’d just had 24 minutes to change the outcome.

Happier to see Woodley gone from boxing than Paul, honestly.

Can he just retire from everything and disappear.

And speaking of halfway decent boxers, does Tommy fury qualify? Cuz I feel very confident jake would beat him.

It seems Tommy did not inherit the boxing gene from his father. He should stick to reality shows.
It was a rough watch. Not sure why jake Paul looks to be a better boxer than him, kind of defies logic. But he definitely looks to be more gifted in the ring than fury, especially given the relatively short amount of time he’s been doing the sport.

In all honesty, it’s pretty impressive he fought 8 rounds. He’s got less experience than Tommy fury who stumbled his way through 4.

Hard to tell with Fury since he’s fought so many bums. Tommy looked a little bigger than Jake to my eyes. He weighed in 10lbs lighter than Jake but looked bigger. That’s what Jake would be up against once he stops handpicking MMA fighters way smaller than him. He’d have zero shot against a decent cruiser weight.
I don’t have anything against Jake Paul, but start fighting real competition already if you want to be considered legit, especially going around saying you want to fight Canelo in 3 years. Tommy would be a good start.

Woodley is probably the highest level of fighter he can beat. Makes sense to go out on top.

He just has some diarrhea. Give it 12-36 hours and he'll be back in the game.

I guess Tyron's right was enough

Bye felicia
Honestly Tyron hit him HARD a few times. I was surprised he was that tough to stay in the fight. He almost certainly had a concussion after the fight.

I imagine they're looking to try and exhume the corpse of Ali for Paul's next fight.

I'm actually a little disappointed. I wanted to see how far he could go. That being said, it's a smart move not to continue. Even though he's only 24 unless he has some real talent the chances of him beating some legit competition are fairly low and unless he's willing to turn his life into that of a boxer there's no reason to start now when he's still got youth, health, and is financially set.

Tyron took his soul worse than I previously thought. No one can take that left hand shot!

Its called the circle of life: Logan retired Mayweather, Mayweather trained TWood and now TWood retires Jake.

Fury looked better than Jake in my opinion... He's the same height and length as Jake.. and if he is able to make jake go backwards like woodley did jake will be fucked..imo

What I got out of his immediate post fight interview was that he was getting sick of the whole training all the time thing, and that getting smacked hard in the head was not much fun. If, in his own mind, he ever had illusions of challenging legit high level boxers, I think that are gone now. His team will be working to come up with a plan to milk his stardom for all it's worth, but don't expect any dangerous opponents in the future.

He's coming to MMA to take Conor's soul.

Jakes actually mentioned before he wants to do mma. He did Wrestling in HS before but his brother Logan is the one thats way better at Wrestling and did good in some tournaments.

Also Jakes copying Conor and lying about retirement.

Jake signed a lengthy, lucrative contract with Showtime. He’s fighting again and dont be surprised if he tries mma against a Bellator guy later on to
