Media Jake Paul Megathread

i love smoking indo .. and outdo

a week ago they were gonna fight ..
literally tons of content

im not saying they are .. they were

The first videos is the same 1 I already agree qualified as hate. The second video quotes the first video. The 3rd video he doesn’t say anything bad.

they were never going to fight. They had some tweets and maybe a video. Maybe some day they will. It’s not something planned now.

Cause Youtube Megastars shouldn't call out actual cagefighters. I don't like Conor or Dana, but stay in your lane.

I make pretty good smoked meat but you don't see me trying to fight people on the Food Network

Jake probably won’t win against either Mike or Conor but, it would be be really really funny if he did.

I 100% side with Dana on Jake :eek::eek:g. He brings the filth to mma. Its been over 10yrs since ive sided with dana.

Jakes not asking for an mma fight against a fighter. He wants to box an mma fighter. Doesn’t really help the UFC as it won’t be a mma event.

Maybe it’s hard negotiations by Dana, and when he gives in a little, Jake jumps at the first offer and gets his dream fight against Connor

Because he hasn't been able to sign him yet.

If he signs him, he'll become best buddies with the guy, like Kimbo Slice and CM Punk.

I never said I knew nothing of askren. I know they yapped on social media. I also know that doesn’t mean they “supposed to fight”.

......
Not sure what you mean about askren.

And didn’t Dana only talk about the Paul brothers once?

I never said I knew nothing of askren. I know they yapped on social media. I also know that doesn’t mean they “supposed to fight”.

well if they are talking about fighting each other and signing contracts .. at the time that meant they were gonna fight ..

and your original was not sure what you mean ..

well you still dont but have watched new videos that you havent seen before .. so maybe you dont know what im talking about

but you do know more than when you started ..

id first like to say you're welcome

and second

check out this video

when youve watched it all get back at me

Outside of CM Punk, Dana has always been stubborn about certain personalities crossing over into MMA or fighting in general. He's definitely cost himself a lot of money over it.

Your original comment was “askren getting paid and not the ufc”. I didn’t know what that meant, since he wasn’t getting paid, had no fight scheduled with Paul to get paid.

And thanks for pointing me to a new video that adds nothing to the actual discussion and adds zero evidence to your claim about how much Dana has been hating on the pauls. Maybe you’ve learned by now that you’ve been wrong....doubt it though.

Like who?

Punk at least was willing to fight other mma fighters. Was unfortunate no one told him he had no talent before he did.

@kflo

I just feel like you was wrong as well ..

care to meet in the middle and shake internet hands and be besties ?

my support to that claim was you originally said 1 and changed it to 2 .. that is evidence that initially you were mistaken

and two about askren .. well since im an ok guy and im sure you are too ..

lets just be broskies and forget it all

Kimbo is the biggest missed opportunity in my eyes. Dana put him on TUF and gave him the hardest path forward. First fight against Big Country?! I think it's safe to say he wanted Kimbo to fail, as early as possible too, probably because of all the shit he talked (Dana). He seems to stick his nose up at those type of guys. Like he's doing to Jake and Logan Paul. Like he did to Jason David Frank. Dana had no interest whatsoever in signing JDF. He scoffed at the suggestion of bringing Batista over when Batista was dipping his toe in the sport. He made fun of Kurt Angle when Angle was talking about wanting to have a fight in the UFC. It's boneheaded. Instead of milking these potential cash cows for all they're worth he just shits all over them and acts like they're an affront to MMA.

Now, I don't really think any of those guys go very far even if Dana did push them properly, but certainly they would have been good for a PPV or two and made the UFC a ton of money in that short period of time. It brings more eyes to the sport and the company and beefs up everyone's bank account.

UFC is already like 50% fake drama so I don't see the problem with introducing a little more to really pique interest and boost sales. Even if it's just for the short term.

They clearly wanted to keep kimbo around for the show and for the ratings, and he was offered fights on the show after he lost. He then had a couple legit ufc fights. It wasn’t the best place for kimbo.

No one knows who Jason David Frank is. When Batista dipped his toe in mma he showed he had no talent. When Angle talked about mma he clearly wasn’t serious. None of them would have made the ufc a ton of money. Angle maybe could have but again, that was never a legitimate possibility.

They know the Paul brothers aren’t a possible asset for them. They don’t really need the ufc.
