I was referring to the comment you made about high level boxers calling out mma fighters, high level mma fighters are doing the same to boxers. No the reason high level boxers compete in boxing is because of the pay. Not everyone wants to be an mma fighter. They are all different martial arts. One thing mma has in common with boxing is boxing. So mma fighters can test their boxing vs actual boxers if they wanted to. You trying to argue that people box so they don't get beat up in mma is like saying people only do wrestling so they don't get submitted in bjj.
Paulie isn't a power puncher and was retired already. Plus bare knuckle is different, no gloves. Watch TJ's sparring session with Lomachenko and see how limited boxing is. High level boxers will always have better boxing than mma fighters unless those mma fighters are cross training with high level boxers and trainers. It's not going to happen with boxing from karate/kung fu/tae kwon do/kickboxing/muay thai bases.
