If Dana agrees to Jake's terms. Then Jake will begin drug testing immediately in usada. <{Joewithit}>

It isnt, because Dana has never in his life started his own fight business. The Fertittas acquired the UFC from SEG through nepotism and corruption.

Regardless, Dana runs UFC and if someone thinks they can do better they should create their own promotion.

Nepotism, fair share, living wage, monopoly, etc... this topic has all the leftist/marxist talking points/buzz words in play.

No one is forcing fighters to be ufc fighters. They accept the risks and enter into agreement for their services. This isn't forced combat between slaves.

Maybe all the fans complaining about fighter pay should purchase PPVs and then submit an additional $15 on top of the PPV fee which goes directly to the fighters.

I'll start a gofundme to increase the fighter pay. Each fighter can pay a yearly due to me, and in exchange, will receive 50% revenue share from the $15 "living wage fee".

If fighters want to be paid more, they need to show their value and be willing to walk away to another promotion or entirely different career. Just like everyone else in the free market. We accept what we are paid or we ask for more or we move on to some other career.

The UFC would never agree to this and Jake is tricking people into thinking hes trying to stand up for fighters. Just look at how many fans on here think Paul aint" so bad now.

Saint Paul blessing these mma bums with the gift of solidarity.

Another giant vein just started bulging from Dana's forehead.

Screw ‘em both to smithereens.

Jake is a clueless but duplicitous dork in training, led around like a well-trained monkey by older, experienced duplicitous dorks behind the scenes. Deep down Jake secretly looks up to the Pink Goof, aspiring to be a better version of him in some 20-30 years.

In fact, they may be the same person simply manifesting at different points of their lives’ timelines and at different space/time continuums but suddenly crashing into ours (didn’t goof used to be a wannabe-boxer in his younger years … and now he’s seemingly emerged out of the blue as a younger version of himself in some twisted blend involving social media and him as a fake boxer and wanna-be young promoter simultaneously mocking himself as the old promoter underpaying his own fighters while accusing himself of being a roided cokehead. And now there’s even a warlock involved …

I think I’ve been watching too many Christopher Nolan movies.

In the end, perhaps they annihilate each other, as if neither really existed — goof destroying dork’s future, and dork erasing goof’s past.

Regardless of how you "feel" about the words, they are factual. While Lorenzo was the Commisioner of the NSAC, the NSAC declined to give permits to the UFC to hold events, causing them to go bankrupt. 18 months later, after Lorenzo had stepped down as comissioner of the NSAC, he bought the UFC. The UFC then magically got permits to hold events in Vegas. And now, guess who the executive director of the NSAC was, who magically gave those permits to the UFC to hold events after Fertitta bought it? Marc Ratner, soon-to-be vice president of regulatory affairs at ZUFFA.

So to reiterate, the Fertittas acquired and grew the UFC through nepotism and corruption.

The UFC pocketed more than 50% of the Reebok money, the fighters won't see a cent of your $15

It would be entirely outside of the UFCs control. It would be a "donation" and not something UFC would have any authority to control.

I was so sure the guy enjoyed the powder…Is Dana telling the truth? Or does he just know Jake won’t take the bait? Funny stuff either way..

We'll definitely need several threads about this to figure the mystery out

Dana won't full out test just like Paul won't.

Anyone remember Dana jacked on the beach with Matt Sera ?

Fun fact: the "warlock" was involved in running the Fertittas' casinos in Abu Dhabi. He was so successful in his job for Station Casinos that the Fertittas took notice of him and made him chief financial officer AND chief executive officer of Fertitta Capital. So in short, he was one of the Fertittas' main men, has a lot of knowledge about their books, and isnt someone Dana wants to seriously fuck with (just in case his dead eyes and Menachem Begin like charms didnt give it away).

Sure, but what's your point? Nepotism isn't inherently negative.

The level of shadiness is pretty low compared to most other parts of the world.

This might all be true. But Jake Paul could still start his own fight promotion and I'm willing to bet he also has connections with high level people and certainly has a (Youtube) media following. He might not know billionaires like Dana does but Jake and Logan Paul COULD start their own fight shows and pay the fighters whatever they wanted. I'm sure some entertainment millionaires would be willing to partner with them. They might also be corrupt and grease the pockets of local media and politicians just like the UFC and most other sports organizations. It's not what you know but who you know.

I have no point beyond the one I made - you challenged my claims that the UFC was acquired and built through nepotism and corruption, and in response I substantiated my claims with facts. That's all I intended to do with my post.

Regarding the new points you raise about nepotism being inherently negative or not, that discussion would be off-topic. I will say, though, that nepotism is anathema to equality of opportunity, meritocracy and to the ideal of a free market, three of the fundamental pillars underlying the concept of the USA as a state. So examined through the lense of "US-ideals-compatibility", nepotism would indeed be inherently negative.

The comparison of relative levels of "shadiness" between the USA and the rest of the world is definitely beyond the scope of what I want to discuss here, or what the mods would tolerate in this thread.

Edit:
If fighters want to be paid more, they need to show their value and be willing to walk away to another promotion or entirely different career. Just like everyone else in the free market. We accept what we are paid or we ask for more or we move on to some other career.

The anti trust lawsuit will hopefully tell us whether that is actually the case. Because currently, there is a high probability that UFC fighters do not in fact operate in the free market, but in a monopsony.

Lol why would Paul go through the inconvenience of randomly getting tested for two years? Even if you're clean, nobody would want this.

You would if you're confident Dana is a cokehead and you're trying to flex YT street cred on a guy running a billion dollar enterprise. Basically do it out of spite, if he was actually clean of PEDs.
