I'm not a big QT fan but I really like this movie. The characters and chemistry between them are great. Also like the music selection a lot. I know a lot of people hate the movie. People who have seen it, what did you think?
 
It's a decent movie. If anything a little bit anti-climactic since it goes for so long with a fairly straight forward conclusion. It's no True Romance/Reservoir Dogs but it's worth watching for sure.
 
The last great thing Tarantino did before he returned a hack 6 years later.
 
Jackie Brown is amazing, easily Tarantino's most underrated movie.

Killer ensemble cast, but Robert Forster as Max Cherry outshines them all, and true to Tarantino's other movies, lots of great snappy dialogue.
 
My favorite Samuel L. Jackson performance of all time.

Brilliant movie.

Anyone who really liked it should read the book it's based on, Rum Punch, by Elmore Leonard. It's got a good chunk more of plot they had to cut out.

Yeah, I can't recall seeing Robert Forster in anything other than Jackie Brown, but he killed it as Max Cherry. Frumpy but suave. His chemistry with Pam Grier was great.
 
awesome movie. Robert De Niro is funny as hell in it. He's so out of it half the time.

The dialogue is excellent as expected. The acting is great all around. Big fan.
 
Gotta agree with all of you praising it. It's so entertaining and well-crafted. Forster kills it but so do Grier, Sam, and Deniro. I love that casting of DeNiro. It's just not the typical role he has- non-lead character who is a sad sack ex-con. I love how on edge he is during the big pickup climax in the clothing store. And Fonda was just pushing her luck in the parking lot...

He's also in that George Clooney movie based in Hawaii.

Watch him in Medium Cool. It's a groundbreaking movie from the late 60's that no doubt influenced Tarantino in a big way.

Also gotta love Tiny Lister as Forsters compatriot bail bondsman. Jackson commenting on the picture and saying "it was your idea to take that photo though wasn't it" to Forster is hilarious. Lister and Sam talking on the phone is a great exchange too.
 
I watched it a few weeks ago. I had seen it a few times before but no where near as much Pulp and Reservoir Dogs

I feel it gets a bit of a bad wrap because it's a pretty good movie but everyone just compares it to Pulp Fiction usually

It's an awesome movie. Obviously not as good as Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction but right up there. Chill as fuck.
 
its a top notch movie, with some of the greatest actors. I couldn't believe it took me so long to see it, it was like the last QT movie I saw of his.
