today news on a Brazilian site

https://sportv.globo.com/site/comba...re-sou-fa-seria-um-otimo-teste-para-mim.ghtml

BR news are in portuguese of course, but in sum, Chris says he would fight rockhold, yoel or jacare. In the end, he says he admires Jacare a lot and would be happy to fight him, as it would be a good test for him.

UFC matchmakers, pls read the news!

If it happens Im betting on Jacare.

Jacare wrecks the Chris

Would watch.

Teh Chris still has a little fight in him, as seen in the Gastelum fight.

Jacare likely takes it at this stage of their respected careers, but I wouldn't count Wieidman out entirely.

This is the fight to make.

I think Chris takes it. Jacare's too far past his prime at this point.

It depends which version of Weidman shows up. Jacare beats the guy who lost to Mousasi, but Weidman at his best has a chance.

i wanna c this one stand up and more intriguing on the ground. can't wait.

Jacare vs GASTELUM actually makes more sense. Winner gets a title shot

Good fight, Chris takes it. Jacare's stand up looked far from impressive against Brunson.

People are really counting Weidman out for no good reason. Yes, he lost to Rockhold. But he was doing great against Romero before getting dropped and doing well against Mousasi before getting dropped. This shit happens.

I think Weidman takes it honestly. And I respect/appreciate Jacare's game. I just don't think he'll be able to take Weidman down to use his amazing jiujitsu. If it's a standup match, I think Weidman can use his length and reach to have success on the feet. They're both capable of finishing the other. I'm excited to see this.

Don't get your hopes up, fellas.

UFC has a history of holding Souza back from the big matchups.

We might have to settle for Jacare vs Camozzi 3. :(

Should have happened long ago, but the division took... some road bumps. :/

Will be mostly another standup fight between great grapplers, sadly, but still great fight.

Hell yes. I still have faith in Weidman. I love relevant matchups like this as opposed to squash matches.

These guys are relatively similar in styles. They’re both decent strikers, both prefer to dominate on the ground. Both of their Stance is orthodox, common win is Belfort, common losses are to Rockhold, Romero, and Mousasi

and you Jacare nut riders seriously thought Weidman was scared of the 50 year old alligator?

Weve been waiting too long for this fight.Bring it to headline in Nassau Coliseum.
