Will have to see. Had a court appearance today and did say a motive was the 2020 election results. Apparently the FBI/DOJ is to release the transcript, or at least some/most of it over the weekend. Will be interesting to see

Honestly, I think everyone is being a little unfair about Trump’s alleged “pay-to-play” pardon marketplace. The real scandal isn’t that he is selling pardons. It’s that he is doing it with the business sophistication of a 13th-century village priest minus the actual product innovation.

The medieval Catholic Church understood how to monetize sin. They offered tiers. Subscriptions. Add-ons. Forgiveness for past sins vs future sins. Skipping purgatory entirely. et al.

Where is the pricing strategy? Where is the innovation? We used to build things in this country for God's sake.

The Presidential Pardon is all-inclusive, permanent, and issued only once. Where’s the recurring revenue model? Where’s the DLC for “additional crimes committed post-pardon”? Where’s the loyalty tier for bulk offenders?

Ideas:

The Eternal Indulgence Subscription: a low monthly fee that automatically pardons you for whatever you did that month, no questions asked.

The Family Plan: One price covers up to six co-conspirators living at the same address.

The International Plan: Committing a crime overseas that could run afoul of American law enforcement? This one is for you.

The Gold Plan: Is it like the above but it comes flaked in real 14 karat gold.
