Crime J6 pipebomber arrested

Officials say a fresh review of evidence led to arrest in D.C. pipe bomb case

The bombs were planted outside the Republican and Democratic national party headquarters in Washington, D.C., on the eve of the Jan. 6 siege on the Capitol.

Doesn't look like there's much actual information yet, Brian Cole is his name but FBI is saying they don't know motive yet. They recently up the award to $500k for info leading to arrest so I wonder if the reason a cold case suddenly got someone is that a buddy turned on him.

Had just bumped a thread on this, feel free to delete that post, so the thread isn’t bumped (if that is how it works?)

There are going to have a press conference at 1 pm est

Edit: the team on this was switched out about 6 weeks ago. Crazy the new team was able to do in a month and a half, what the previous team couldn’t do

Dan Bongino took over with a new team about a couple months ago. Part of the story will be why did the previous team do such a terrible job on the case

It seems like the kids grandpa ratted him out.

The suspects grandfather spoke with NBC and told them that he had recently spoken with the FBI and declined to comment further.

Seems like a safe bet that he snitched.
 
They released his text messages to his significant other.

“Hi trans lover. I think the fbi is on my trail How did they know me, the Jan 6 pipe bomber was guilty of planting the Jan 6 pipe bomb? I will never let on how I was part of antifa and campaigned for joe Biden!”
