Exactly, him fighting the top 5 fighters in his division back to back is essentially still a champions schedule, you rarely see a fighter clear out the top 5 that isn’t a champion, you rarely see title contenders run through top 5 before a title shot, Off the top of my head Holloway practically cleared out the entire FW division on his towards a title shot, Merab also.

Israel needs to fight someone outside the top 5, him moving forward is on his coaches, they need to evaluate Adesanyas mistakes in his past bouts and improve on them. Goggins isn’t going help with any of that.

Why are people not getting this? Him training with Goggins for a day wasn't about improving his MMA game or improving his cardio. It was all about a mental change. Whatever that means for Izzy, we're not in his head so we can't know for sure what it ment for him. Break through mental barriers, reset his mindset, get his focus back, whatever.
