That leaping in style that Whittaker has plays right into Adesanya's counter game. He could catch Adesanya slipping in a combo but it's going to be very difficult. And he doesn't really have the offensive wrestling or size to outgrapple him.

If he makes it dirty, he can win possibly by late kayo. Grappling, tying up him, close range boxing, beating the body, foot stomping, Mike Tyson style peakaboo boxing.

I agree. Bobby has had a lot of success with many brawlers (striking wise) such as Romero, Jacare, Costa and others. But Adesanya is way too technical. Whittaker did not have a bad night; he ran out of tools to reach Adesanya and was trying to do something more drastic.

I think his only way to win is to emulate prime Cain by using wrestling and pressure. It might require taking a punch or two initially when closing the distance but in a closed space Adesanya is not nearly as dangerous and has wrestling limitations.
