I think everyone knew what Dricus meant from the beginning. That doesn't mean they liked it. And as you said he did word in a way that the others could find dismissive of them.

Still the only one talking the loudest is the big mouth Izzy, who is in the same division. I doubt that if Dricus fought at 155, that Adesanya would address it nearly as much.

Exactly, trash talk tends to happen when MMA fighters are scheduled to fight each other, and in Adesanya's case more so than most since he loves to initiate and escalate. He's really petty, but that pettiness is also part of his drive to greatness; and as such, even though I don't like Adesanya, so have it always been a "sin" rather easy to accept. It just so happened that in this case, that what was rather tame trash talk contained potentially controversial implications; and since Adesanya loves to escalate...

I do find it a shame really, since I do want to like Adesanya. He has two qualities in his loyalty towards his teammates and his desire to fight for the fight itself that I value to the highest degree and makes me want to like him. But his other defects has unfortunately made it so that what could have been like instead became mere tolerance.

Well THAT'S definitely wrong.

People often use racism to mean two different things: actual racism, which is the predisposition to judge people based on their race, which basically everyone does and doesn't automatically mean a prejudged thought it wrong, but is still an attitude people should overall change; vs discrimination by racism, which is when you use those thoughts in discrimination of those people.

Yeah, there's been enough systemic racism, that racist thoughts back towards the predominant race can't really undo those advantages, but "dominant" or "majority" are terms based relative to their scope, and anyone who has grown up in an area where they are outnumbered and could be discriminated against based on even white skin knows that "reverse racism" very much is a thing.
 
Genderbender will cry loudly that he's African and that a White man can never be African and both those things are true.

But he'll never tell you why he left Africa, why he'll never move back there and why he'll stay living and training in countries inhabited by White people.

Funny that.
