So, there's been a few threads around saying what you believe was Nate's best line during the build up of the fight.

The one I find most interesting is when Nate said Conor doesn't truly believe his own predictions. He said "you don't even believe your own predictions, but your opponents did". After the fight, that line became very interesting to me.

Nate didn't mentally break like Conor's previous opponents because Nate is all about mental warfare, too, and at some points, he really got under Conor's skin like nobody else has with his words.

We all know how Conor mentally beats his opponents, but he couldn't mentally break Nate and that a bit of a difference IMO. A lot of Conor's opponents went into the fight completely broken down mentally and I believe some were actually a little scared. Kind of how Anderson Silva's opponents used to fight him. Chael said his previous opponents were scared of him, but if you go in and believe in yourself and you aren't afraid of him, you can beat him.

Nate talked about how Conor 'already won' those other fights (RDA, Cerrone, etc) because of the press conference (Go Big press conf?) and then said how Conor doesn't even believe his own predictions, but his opponents did.

Nate didn't believe it and didn't fight scared like Conor's previous opponents. He wasn't broken down mentally.

Not that Conor only wins by breaking his opponent mentally. He can still beat you, truly, Conor wins because of his actual fighting ability but the mental warfare does help. It can be a big factor sometimes, but the way Nate took Conor's shots and taunted him, that's the most effective mental warfare because it really fucks with your head.

Nobody could take Conor's shots, but when Nate took them perfectly fine, it must have made Conor a little bit nervous.

Idk, I still think "Playin touch butt in the park" was his best line lol

Where's @Hammurabi That guy is the only poster I trust when it comes to the psychoanalyzation of fighters.

I like the "That little bitch John Anik better be getting a tattoo or I'm whipping his ass."

"look at his line up, and look at mine"

meh, expected a 300 line essay about the fight

disappointed

This ladies and gents is legendary quote and should go down as the greatest MMA quote

This is what Nate said to McMidgetslayer

"You fight midgets. You knocked out three midgets, and you're pumped up. I'm a real motherfucking fighter, fighting grown-ups, all the time."

My fav was wen canner was r talking hella shit..and the Nate " ur on steroids!" I Lmao"

Could've just posted this in the thread you're talking about. Still, I agree that was a good line. He said a lot of funny or true things so it's tough to pick a favorite.

But my gem will always be Nate not knowing what a gazelle is claiming this is America, stop making up words!

"Im not surprised motherfuckers" is his best line. Jon Anik´s comment at the post-fight press conference was pure gold as well.

PS: I believe he said something along those lines, that his rivals were already beaten from the press conferences before the fights, that was at the end of the MJ fight when he called out Conor.

So it is like voodoo then ? It only works if you believe in it ?

Replying to the comment that Conor will KO Diaz in round 1:
"Better hope he gets that knockout otherwise it gonna be a fucked up night for him."

What's hilarious is the other FWs cheering Nate on like Edgar and Aldo, don't they realize that Nate just dissed Conor's competition

Don't think mental warfare before fight had anything to do w the outcome

The one I liked the best was:

"Kill or be killed."

A lot of fighters say something along those lines but with a Diaz you know it has some 'extra' to it.

"Don't mention my name in the name of steroids Nate"
"Your on steroids"

Conor didn't know the Stockton Slap was for real...
Diaz brothers are goat when it comes to mental warfare....they bring it to the fight...not some presser bullshit...

When Nate said "fuck the belt too", then Conor replied "IDGAF either", then Nate said "Why bring it everywhere?" and it made Conor speechless for 1 second and looks after his belt at the table, that was the FIRST time I saw someone's words get into Conor's head. I really liked that line from Nate.
