Next middleweight champion and brazilian star Paulo "The Eraser" Costa (11-0, 3-0 UFC) recently had a interview with Combate in which he talked about how he's going to conquer the division.
He fights TUF finalist Uriah Hall (13-8, 6-6 UFC) this weekend, at UFC 226.

"I have power enough to KO everyone in this weight class, including the strikers.
I'm too powerful, i believe i've the biggest KO power of my division.
I used to think Rockhold was a very dangerous striker, but he's going up.
I don't see any others (that would give him problems on the feet).
Whittaker is the champion but he doesn't have the same punch i have, the same pressure i have. We saw him connecting at Yoel, a lot, and Yoel wasn't falling.
Gastelum? Even less, he's a great fighter, has been able to KO some top guys recently, but also doesn't have the same power.
I'm sure that any striker won't be down to trade with me, because they know they could go down at anytime."
"I am 2 fights away from a titleshot. Winning well, by KO, i want a top 5 next.
The next challenger (to Whittaker) is Gastelum, he deserves it.
After Saturday, i think UFC will want to make my next fight as a titleshot eliminator, to set the next one (next challenger after Gastelum), and i'll be ready."
