Perhaps he saw Trump as a means to an end.
Hang Trump out to dry and let Pence take over?
Lol Rudy gets promised AG for outing Trump.
Perhaps he saw Trump as a means to an end.

Mr. Kelly, for his part, is sanguine about how little control he has over how the president chooses to spend his time. At a breakfast event last week for Senator Tom Cotton, Republican of Arkansas, Mr. Kelly marveled that Mr. Trump had spent a long time the day before on the phone with Bill Belichick, the New England Patriots coach, talking about the status of Tom Brady, the star quarterback, according to two people familiar with his remarks, one of whom was present.

lol This is the lawyer that Trump actually wants representing him, it's hilarious the porn star has him.
Anyone watching Rudy on Hannity? I wouldn’t be surprised if he was fired tomorrow. He just said Trump reimbursed Cohen the $130k.
Wow you're right, he said that he paid him back through his retainer and that Trump knew about the Stormy Daniels situation but maybe not the specifics.

Wow you're right, he said that he paid him back through his retainer and that Trump knew about the Stormy Daniels situation but maybe not the specifics. Is he fucking stupid or is there another reason Giuliani would say this?

Today Giuliani said that Trump meeting with Mueller was now off the table because the questions leaked.
Well shit, I wonder who leaked them. Even Ty Cobb said the White House leaked them to sabotage Mueller.
It's really astonishing how these people are willing to go down this path in American history, where odds are they will be painted as villains and traitors. Guiliani specifically could have just sat by and watched from the sidelines, instead he took a life raft and climbed onto the already sinking titanic.

So Rudy is claiming that Trump repaid Cohen by keeping him on a $35,000 retainer, that is their story now? Somehow Trump repaid Cohen while at the same time not knowing Cohen paid Stormy Daniels the $130,000?
Also seemed like Rudy had 2-3 too many wines at dinner tonight.
Correct with the exception that Rudy said that Trump knew about the payment of hush money to Stormy but not the specifics...
I construed it as Rudy saying that he knew that Cohen would take care of things like this, but not about the specifics, but it did seem like he was back tracking a bit soon after he got the words out. Hannity seemed genuinely surprised (not a good sign that Rudy was on message) saying "oh, I didn't know that" and "who decided that," but I don't watch Hannity enough to know his tells.
I can see where a lawyer wouldn't need to disclose specifics to their client but according to the American Bar Association they do need to inform them.
https://www.americanbar.org/groups/...essional_conduct/rule_1_4_communications.html
Client-Lawyer Relationship
Rule 1.4 Communication
(a) A lawyer shall:
(1) promptly inform the client of any decision or circumstance with respect to which the client's informed consent, as defined in Rule 1.0(e), is required by these Rules;
(2) reasonably consult with the client about the means by which the client's objectives are to be accomplished;
(3) keep the client reasonably informed about the status of the matter;
(4) promptly comply with reasonable requests for information; and
(5) consult with the client about any relevant limitation on the lawyer's conduct when the lawyer knows that the client expects assistance not permitted by the Rules of Professional Conduct or other law.
(b) A lawyer shall explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation.
Is Cohen really going to voluntarily be hung out to dry alone on this? Seem like that's what Trump is setting up. There's no way that the feds don't turn him.
But Giuliani later clarified for Fox News that the money Trump paid to Cohen was for unspecified "expenses," and that the president was unaware that money would be going to Daniels.
A spokesman said the White House had no comment on the matter, citing an ongoing investigation.
On "Hannity," Giuliani said Trump repaid Cohen "over several months" by putting him on a "retainer of $35,000 when he was doing no work for the president."
"I said, 'That's how he's repaying it, with a little profit and a little margin for paying taxes,'" said Giuliani, who added that Trump "didn’t know about the specifics of [the payment], as far as I know, but he did know about the general arrangement that Michael would take care of things like this. Like I take care of things like this for my clients. I don’t burden them with every single thing that comes along."
LOL is he counting on Republican America to just nod and think, yeahhhh...? This shows they think the American people, Trump supporters in particular, are really fucking stupid, and if they buy this bullshit, they are clearly right.Yes so Rudy threw Cohen under the bus on National TV. Think life is bad now Michael, say hello to Rudy. The best part is Rudy claims to do that exact same thing with his own clients.

Ya, Trump seems like the type of guy just to give out $130,000 Over several months and not know what it was going to????
In many cases I don't think they care much for the Bill of Rights either.Many of them are apparently quite opposed to law enforcement and justice.
They prefer an alternate view of the truth.
