I am pretty harcore fan, never missed an event, and I know perfectly everyone in the top 5 of every division, probably top10 too on most division, and some notables out of the top 10. Most of the time I know everyone in the main event and most of the fighters in the preliminary card but...

Corey Anderson and Gian Villante ?

Why I know nothing (Jon Snow style) about those two ? I know and remember some fights of their respective opponents (Illir Latifi and Tom Lawlor), but I know nothing about Corey Anderson and Gian Villante.

What I am missing here? Can someone explain to me what is interisting in those? Not trying to say they suck, just maybe I wasnt paying much attention on some event and missed their fights.

- They are well rounded ?
- They are prospect with championship potential ?
- One of those is a KO or submission especialist ?
- There is something especial in Corey or Gian I should know before seeing the event ?

Thank You!!!!!

this is not fighter bashing, just I truly think they are not well know for everyone

Because Corey Anderson is a decisionator and Gian Villante is so inconsistent that you can't rely on him. Also the lack of individual style for both fighters. They are kind of generic.

I want Tom Lawlor to win. I don't want a guy with the nickname Beastin 25/8 to win a fight, just like I don't want a guy nicknamed Showeather to win either. I wasn't impressed with Anderson's performanzzze against either Jan or Fabio, so I want Lawlor to keep riding that win streak. I'm on the fence about Gian, because I kind of like Ilir but I could go either way in this fight. I think I have Lawlor by R3 Sub, and Ilir by R1 TKO.

Could be fun.
Gian's last fight was great. Latifi is explosive, though. He has not gone past the first round in his last 5.
I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah Agree with M Raid K a little bit. Corey is boring and Gian is just riding the coat of Weidman's success. What's his best win Perosh?

Why is Villante ahead of Lawlor on this card? Didn't Tim just KO him?

I honestly root for Gian just because he is one of Weidmans main training partners but I am not a "fan". Gian does seem like a likable guy though.

But like stated already he is inconsistent . I doubt he will ever break into the top 5 of any UFC division.

Ones Weidmans Artem Lobov and the other looks like a cheap knock off of "The Game"

Cliffs:
They're both wrestle-boxers who never wrestle and always gas.
Villante is Weidman's bff. Anderson is some bloke off TUF.
They're both good, but will never break the Top 5 and probably not the Top 10.

You're welcome.

he was on some embedded with Weidman !! he was !!

Now I know something about him lol

That division seems to have drastically thinned out in the last year or so. So now we're in a situation where some very average fighters like these are getting a bit of push.

They should really do a 205 TUF Brazil and push hard to get all the best fighters in it.

Probably not but of course there is always that chance that youre the only one.

I don't like Gian from the Maldonado fight where he took Maldonado down and took a nap. I'd have to watch the fight again, but I think that's how it was going until Maldonado started roughing him up a bit and winning.

Probably why they had lhw on the newest season of TUF
