Birth rates is the one thats coming for sure inside 20 years

Todays news here was in my country there are 1 million people over 70 out of 5 million population

Oh boy

I don't think you are familiar with the latest predictions that the top AI engineers are making by what you say here. 4.5 years is an eternity with the way things are advancing; the ability to make those kinds of predictions in that time frame before is pretty much irrelevant with the changes that are coming. If we have reached AGI by then, which many think we will, none of the things you mention here will be all that relevant. One of the top AI engineers that has been right at just about every turn about the AI advancement has said we would reach it around 2028. While this is sooner than other predictions, it gives you an idea of just how fast this is moving.

The kind of changes that would happen with AGI are not predictable.

How is AGI going to cause this country to stop racking up debt, or close the wage gap between front line employees and CEO's? We have humans telling it now that our current system is going to explode.

I mean would it surprise anybody?

Personal debt is skyrocketing, people have far less disposable income then at any other point in my lifetime, and the cost of living in almost every metric is far outpacing wage increases.

Immigrants do well because they have no issue with squeezing 8 working people into a 3 bedroom place so they can save easily.

Something has to give eventually. I've also never seen so many people being dependent on loved ones for inheritances as their one and only shot at owning a place ever.

We have a system where the poorest individuals champion on behalf of the Jeff Bezos of the world that they shouldn't have to pay taxes or pay their workers more money. I don't think these folks are preparing themselves for anything but having food and rent money.

We don't really know what that world would look like. In a society where no one really has to work because AI can do everything better than a person, I'm not sure what role that would play. There wouldn't be poverty, starvation, disease, etc. so the victim narrative would be totally dead. The problem would be more societal- what effect would it have on the populous to have 16 hours a day where they didn't need to go to work or do ANY kind of work? We might be a society of blue pill people that would live in pleasurable VR worlds day and night. Humans have never lived that kind of existence, so who knows.
what the fuck are you reading :p

I'm working on the assumption that you'd need to have a form of UBI come into effect at some point between now and the society you describe. Once there's a significant lack of jobs compared to people there's going to have to be a solution but we will still need people to work.
Yeah, that's the problem- we could get stuck in a bad spot for a period of time. The thing is, once AI becomes self-replicating, it will happen very fast.

No one really knows how it will all go down, but yeah, there are definitely some scary thoughts along the way. The worst part is that on average, AI engineers believe there is about a 20% chance that once AI is smarter than we are, we will become obsolete and will be eliminated. 20% is pretty high when we are talking an extinction level event. Jeffrey Hinton, who is basically the grandfather and main creator of modern AI, has said it is more dangerous than global warming. AI could do fantastic good, but it could just as well be catastrophic.

You should read up on this subject.

Put them to Learn an emerging country language and eventually send them there. Cheaper to live and they'll be considered high value coming from US. I hear vietnam is China 20 years back, who knows

We’re Canadian <Prem974>

People have been saying a massive recession is on the horizon since about 2015
People also say that the sandy hook shooting was fake. There is plenty of support in the OP. This has legs.....worth a read

so....you don't know?
Whatever makes you feel good. You can't goad just ANY poster into typing for an hour to explain something because you can't do your own research and are ignorant.

You made the claim....I'm asking you questions....and your answer is "look it up".

Let me take a wild guess about your opinion of Lyme disease

So the "weak men make hard times" phase.

Cool. Been expecting it.

Anyone who lives in this country can tell how fucked everyone is and are going to be, unless you're a privileged rich kid.

The average family has to have a parent, or both, working multiple jobs to make ends meet. The price of everything is getting higher, and the privileged rich kids that run everything don't want to make LESS money, so even though the majority is fucked, every business demands record profits every year. You can't keep fucking raising prices of everything and expect things to get better, it just shows that everyone that runs things in this country are soulless empathyless losers who only care about more money and power. None of them care about helping the situation, just take advantage of everything, and then repent for your sins and die.

If AI takes over like everyone says, it's only for the benefit of the rich people already running everything, they absolutely won't let any random person just live life doing whatever they want. They would use AI to run most business and day to day life, and then the rest of humanity would still be cogs in some metaphorical machine. Or eliminate all jobs and let everyone starve and die, then it'll just be a society of privileged rich kids and robots.
