They also froze critical programs for tens of millions of people and he's trying to kill shit like the CFPB. Yeah, that's kinda fucking worth getting worked up about. This is a coup.

Atop this, Musk has relations with China and he attacking agencies that are investigating him and his company for criminal activity. That's a national security threat and a massive conflict of interest.

Well that's the thing - we don't think it's perfect, we just think taking a hatchet to all these agencies with no regard for the consequences is infinitely worse

The Department of Education, CFPB, and USAID all had valuable functions and slashing them affects everyone employed there and everyone who benefited from their services

If you want to reform those agencies or set up a new more efficient one, make the plan, explain why it'll be better, and send it through Congress. But this illegal slashing is just ruining important government functions and the savings are nothing compared to the damage being done

I think there is a difference between not wanting to cut budget and not letting people who are unqualified haphazardly killing things with no long term analysis of the impact of those cuts.
