I live in an apartment in an area of Toronto where there’s a lot of immigrants and lower income households.

I myself have a good job and I’m trying to save up for a house next year, I’m 29 years old and I have a kid.

I hate when people my age give me a look and they’re like, “why do you live there that hood is so ghetto”.

To be honest I like my area, it’s close to everything I need and it’s cheap and the car insurance is low.

Also people in the city tend to judge if you’re from a country area or rural area surrounding Ontario, like “eww omg you’re from farm-town do you guys tip cows over”

What annoying bums. Most of them live in a nicer area in their mom and dads basements and haven’t seen the real world.
 
I know. Just because I live in Korea people think I eat dog all the time. I prefer pigeon.

If someone is going to judge you over something so trivial, you probably shouldn't care about what they think.

I don't care. When I lived in apartments it was always in the hood. I didn't give a shit and you never had issues if you weren't involved in some shit. Plus there was always some funny shit going on. Once saw this black guy from Louisiana try and BBQ in his fucking apartment when his grandma and GF were gone. His neighbor came out, found out what happened, and I heard him scream "Are you fucking kidding me". The kid was just like "I didn't know". He always seemed like such a thug but when he said that you could just hear the failure in his voice. Felt bad for him at that point.

When I worked in Downtown I had this subway in the semi hood that I would go to for the same kind of entertainment.

I also made really good money and it was great to save money and live cheap. The ladies always did think I was poor though. I had this corolla with all the hub caps fallen off and I just didn't care. This one girl got pregnant once and I was like ok cool will go get an abortion after I get off work I'll pay for it. Her and her husband had just got back together and I wanted nothing to do with her craziness other than bang for bit. Anyways she was like "You can't afford that?!!?". I was like wtf yes I can and were doing this. Ended up going a different direction but yea people would think I was poor.
 
yeah I hate it when people make comments that I must be a rich snob cause I live in a gated community on the pricer side of town and shit.
 
Why do you have a kid? You should have used protection.

Abortion? Shit, one of the best things about fucking a girl whos taken is that the baby will always get blamed on the boyfriend or husband.

Considering me and her husband both look like light skinned black guys that was plan B. I actually ended up having to message him on FB cause she was fucking around acting like she wasn't sure she wanted an abortion and kept saying I couldn't afford. One message to the husband and she freaked out and said she would handle it.
 
Let today's hipsters waste all their money on overpriced apartments so they can feel superior, you're doing the smart thing.
 
Everyone judges everyone else. But my question is why associate with people that superficial?
