Waldo's success continues to shock me, but I can't deny that he's the only remotely interesting "prospect" at HW right now inside the Top 10. Blaydes blew his knee out in his last fight, so there's no telling when he'll be back. Waldo should fight someone else and I think Volkov is a solid call. It would involve him leap-frogging Pavlovich, though, who has a recent win over him... but Pav in turn lost to Volkov not so long ago, so maybe that's okay especially since Waldo has been so active for the promotion and finishing fights.
I suspect they're probably going to do Pereira vs. Gane at Heavyweight for the interim belt while Tom recovers. I don't mind the idea of Waldo and Volkov fighting in the meantime as... I dunno, #2 contender I guess it would be? Sort of sucks for Pav, but I prefer fresh match-ups over rematches whenever possible. Let Serghei fight the winner of Almeida/Kuniev, I guess.
