Look, it's not gonna happen. Their leader is only claiming that stuff to get some help from the West, but not only the West/Israel knows it's a ruse they also don't care. His usefulness was to take down Assad, Iran and Russia, now he will get bombed while Israel encroaches into Syria. He got nothing to stop them.
I bet in a few years at most it will break down into multiple Jihadists groups killing each other while murdering minorities.

I don’t think I have a good grasp on this one. On the surface, Israel is claiming to have intervened on behalf of the Druze, which sounds like a good thing. However, I just don’t believe they care what happens to the Druze. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. I’m assuming there is some ulterior motive here. My first suspicion is they are putting g out feelers to see if they can start a wider conflict and steal more land from Syria

It has that in the Golan heights though. That’s why they never returned it. I can always be sympathetic towards security concerns but I’m thinking that’s exactly what Israel is trying to exploit.

I could be wrong here. I really don’t know enough about this but my impression is that extremists in the government are making the most of an opportunity. The country is in a war frenzy right now. This feels like how the Bush admin convinced the country to invade Iraq after 9-11. I’m thinking they’re hoping to provoke a response then use that as an excuse for a naked land grab.

Later Pentagon had requested how, why and where they used supplied bombs.

Recently Al Qaeda/ISIS took over Syria. This development was greeted with cheers from world leaders who had been working toward this very goal from the Arab Spring days. Now, they assured us, Syria would become a democratic paradise full of human rights.

Al-Jolani, the former Jihadist leader, made his world tour while Jihadis in Syria began massacring the Druze population. The Druze are a minority group considered illegitimate by Islamists. Israel has a large Druze population which protested in the streets. And Israeli planes struck Al Qaeda government targets in Syria. And the world condemned Israel. There’s been an official ‘ceasefire’ with the Al Qaeda regime in Damascus and videos still keep coming out of Jihadist massacres of Druze.

Three lessons here.

1. Letting Turkey put Al Qaeda in charge of Syria was a bad idea.

2. This is the Islamic norm. And anywhere they take power, this is what will happen to non-Muslims. Let’s not let it happen to us.
