Has solid potential if it comes to fruition.

I like this scrap!

Dober by KO
Hopefully his head bounces off the canvas for how many times he pulled out of fights.

It just seems like a bit of a drop off from guys like RDA or Paul Felder who’s names were being passed around.

RDAs stock went up so he won't entertain fighting Islam. The opportunistic nature of the fighting business

Wow, the hate against Islam Makhachev is pretty intense.

They pick and choose. They're too irrational.

If Islam’s management had any real high level confidence in him he would be fighting contenders... instead more of this... can we stop trying to get people excited about Islam teasing to continue fighting outside the top 10

Plenty of time for Islam to pull out and pick a fight on social media.

I think it’s a good fight, I’m just pointing out the discrepancy in risk/reward compared to what he was getting booked for initially
Doesn't ultimately matter. From a promoting aspect, to you just want him on tv against distinct with a number next to their name, and you want to push the idea that he's Khabib's replacement.

Doing it against a more well known opponent is great, but this works for the purposes of telling the story... if he can win with some dominance.

Won't happen because Islam is a pull out merchant who hardly fights, and is somehow in the Top 15 even tho he hasn't beat a single Top 15.

This is a weird gripe you don't have to beat a top 15 guy to get into the top 15. Like if you keep beating guys ranked around 20th over and over again it shouldn't be a surprise that a guy like that breaks into the top 15. If you had to beat someone ranked within the top 15 to ever get into the top 15 the rankings would be stagnant and guys inside the top 15 wouldn't ever fight anyone ranked lower.

I don’t see the upside for Islam. If he wins this imo his stock doesn’t change much. But if he loses his stock takes a huge dive
His stock already took a dive by missing out on RDA unfortunate for him but it's where he's at. After a year on the bench dober is good to show where he's at.

It's not over and over, it's almost once a year

Re-read what I wrote, I'm not saying he's active, I'm saying he's beaten multiple guys ranked around 20 so why shouldn't he be ranked in the top 15? Saying that you should only be able to become top 15 by beating guys in the top 15 doesn't make sense it would cause the rankings to stagnate.

Dober got a no backward step approach, he got taken down often in his last fight against Hernandez but got straight back up.
Islam is going to be a different level of grappling.
