Definitely most dominant champ but imo lb4lb needs to be for someone who fights through at least one additional weight class before you can even consider it. I'm not sure there is a lb4lb anything right now other than possibly Jones, who barely fights anymore.
You should go get checked out. Your sodium levels are extremely unhealthywhat a goof move. islam has defended the LW belt against 0 LWs. one of his defenses was against a 10 day short notice fight. LOLOL. this is prime wolf tickets. the we need this guy to sell more PPVs so lets say he's #1 P4P. Even though he's never defended the belt against one LW.
How can 3 backs be to eachother? Not that it matters really but he deserves it.
Beat three P4P Top 3 fighters back to back to back.
the personification of lanklet rageP4p rankings are made so manlets can sleep better
Quality post my Sherbro. How can 3 backs be to eachother?
Even its 2 torsos half the size of the 3rd to it, the are still no facing eachother.
you mean they are forming a triangle from above? Idk if that counts as back to back.
Based off what? Weight classes exist for a reason and Volk isn't even a big FW to begin with. We've seen twice now that Volk's chin is a hell of a lot worse at LW than it's ever been at FW, and he's much slower which is what a lot of his success is based on. LW isn't a good fit for him.
I like how you're pretending all these don't exist, nor that there also isn't a history of good FWs struggling once they move up too. It's not just Volk. Conor lost to Diaz and has only beaten Cerrone since Eddie. Dustin got KO'd by Johnson and has since lost every title fight. Max lost to Dustin because he wasn't used to the additional power nor did he pack it itself without properly preparing for such a transition. It happens. What works at FW =/= what works at LW.
You're the one pathetically pretending like moving weight classes is no big deal because it suits your narrative. Let's see Islam move up (or hell even down) and see if he's still the same fighter.
Jon literally would have the same activity level as Islam this year if he hadn't gotten injured or Volk hadn't stepped up on 10 days notice to replace Charles for Islam.
Which are we really even counting in Islam's favour in beating a post-surgery 10 day notice FW? It's not like he at least beat Gamrot who was the official ranked LW prepared backup fighter which then would hold a lot more credit than the Volk we got. Volk is a great name on paper until you apply the actual circumstances which no doubt affected the vastly different results too.
If you are only happy when Islam loses then you must be suicidal by now.Whether he's p4p #1 or not in the ufc, I will always boo Makhachev no matter the situation. He could win by 10 second knock out, and ill booo. The only time I cheer for him is when he loses or gets beat up. That's when I cheer hard, but if I see his face on TV at a bar, even if it's a commercial, ill make sure the whole bar hears me booing
Quality over quantity, Shermano.Quality post my Sherbro.
They'd literally have the same activity level this year if Jon hadn't gotten injured and Volk hadn't saved Islam's ass by stepping up.
Why would Gane have been in the P4P rankings? He's not a champion or a recent one. He was however still the #1 fighter in the weight class which you're conveniently ignoring.
Volk being able to drop back down like nothing happened is precisely evidence that he isn't moving up properly (or should be at all). Look how nobody's sitting around saying Conor or Dustin should try moving back down. They can't.
Jones clearly lost to Reyes though. Islam not been defeated in 8 years.
He rightfully deserves. Putting Jones up there with only a single win in over 3 years against a heavyweight that's not even in the pound-for-pound rankings was hilarious.

All of themJones is undefeated in multiple weight classes and has double-digit title defenses in one of them. And yes, he's only fought once in the past three years, but that fight was above his natural weight class and he was every bit as dominant (or more) as he's ever been. As for Gane not being in the P4P rankings, so what? That list is made up of champions first, and good fighters in deep weight classes second. Gane wasn't champion, so he wasn't going to be on the P4P list anyway - and he was still the #1 heavyweight at the time Jones beat him.
Jones has given us no reason to assume anyone is going to defeat him anytime soon, and fighting only once in the past three years hasn't changed that. Which heavyweights do you actually think (and I mean actually, not just wishful thinking like people have with Pavlovich) would beat him? And I don't mean which fighters have a "chance," because everyone's got a chance. Which fighters would you actually bet on if they were matched up against Jones?
