Ngannou isn't a grappler. You can barely sell striker specialists in mma vs boxers, so grappler specialists are dumber and will not bring any money.

Askren boxed Jake Paul and it supposedly sold way better than Ngannou vs Fury. And we all know how much of a boxing specialist Askren is.

That's against a youtuber and when people considered him only a youtuber. I'm unaware of anyone fascinated with the idea of a grappling specialist boxing a professional boxer.

I wasn’t fascinated with Fury vs Ngannou, the PPV supposedly bombed and lost a ton of money, but it still happened and Ngannou got to make bank.

If the Saudis want to pay Islam a bunch of money for a fight no one wants to see… well… Islam will still make a bunch of money lol.

Time will tell, but I doubt it. Islam has to look like KO striker with his hands.

Tbh the biggest money boxing fight for him at the moment would be a Paul brother in saudia Arabia

If he wants to try something else than MMA, maybe he should try boxing, because he has absolutely nothing against todays best grapplers in the world. Kids ten years younger than him, would school him so badly.

Yeah, the subtitles make it seem more like the interviewer asked him if he would do it and he casually answered "sure, why not" rather than actually expressing an active desire to pursue it.

Islam vs some much less famous boxer than Fury, or even just Islam in boxing, at all, doesn't really have all that much appeal to a hardcore or a casual, IMO. Even the Saudis would have to want to watch the fight in order for them to try to make it happen. I question if they would spend the many millions for an event for a fight that just doesn't seem generally interesting. But who knows, maybe they would like to see that fight? I'd like to see Islam get schooled in boxing. It would be interesting to see. I wouldn't pay a penny for it though.

If I were a Saudi I rather have Islam grapple some elite level grappler in grappling. It's also easier to do while he is under a UFC contract.

Or a UAE guy to be more precise.

First there was mayweather v McGregor, then Tyson vs Francis.

will we have Islam vs… ?

“Why not?”

Why not if given opportunity but i am not buying a ppv for boxing unless its the best boxers fighting each other

The fight sold diddly, but Ngannou still got paid lol. One of the worst PPVs of all time but Ngannou made bank so w/e.
Your assumption is based upon emotion and fight promotion hype. It flys in the face of previous, verified pay, market rates, common sense and most importantly, good business practices.

Islam vs Pro Boxer wouldn't see sheet man, unless it was Mike Tyson
