- Looks forward to the Dariush fight because it will bring him closer to the TS

- Predicts he'll beat Oliveira in a TS later this year in Abu Dhabi

- Fiziev vs RDA is 50/50 In his opinion...Fiziev has a good win streak and striking....RDA is getting old but is tough and can wrestle Fiziev

- Asked if he thinks Poirier will move to 170, thinks he'll go wherever the money fights are and isn't hungry for the belt anymore
 
I see Dariush being Islam's toughest fight in the division.
IMO if he's gets by Dariush, no one is beating for a long time.

I see Dariush giving Islam a harder time compared to Oliveira.
I alse see Oliveira matching up a lot better against Dariush than Islam.
Just how their styles match up.

I'd still favor Islam in all those matchups though, dude is a beast and that defeat he had years ago made him way better.
I also appreciate him addressing his inactivity in 2021 and taking Khabib's advice by getting 3 fights in that year. Hopefully if he gets the belt, his title reign will be full of new blood like Tsarukyan, Gamrot, Fiziev and Alvarez.
 
Islam seems too hung up on the TS it worries me. He should focus on Dariush, arguably his toughest challenge, but he keeps talking about Oliveira and the belt. Focus on what's Infront of you man.
 
Islam beats Darius 65-35%. After that Winner gaethje vs charles 50-50%.

Islam is the champ already. Everyone can see his talent. The only thing people can hope for is that he gets KO’ed. Otherwise it’s a clean sweep for him.
 
All good, except he should go fight charles in Brazil instead.
 
I hope he isn't jinxing it. I really want to see Makhachev vs. Oliveira but damn, both of them have a hard task in front of them before a potential matchup against eachother.
 
Dariush and Oliveria are Islam's toughest opponents in the division.

Oliveria moreso because he has a longer reach and very good BJJ. His striking is also cleaner and more diverse than Daruish's. He's also showed a lot more heart recently, and has great recovery.
The only thing Daruish has over Oliveria is toughness, but even that is now questionable due to how tough Oliveria has shown himself to be recently.

Overall Daruish is an excellent test for Islam. IMO Daruish is almost like a Oliveria-lite.
 
Dariush is gonna beat Islam. Then Dariush will fight and win the LW this Fall.

It's funny, in an interview someone asked Ali Abdelaziz "is it true the winner of Islam and Dariush fights for the title in Abu Dhabi this year?"

He knew it was a bait question to see if Ali preferred or expected Islam to win...since they're both his clients.

He didn't fall for it and goes No one can look past Dariush, these are both tough fighters and we can't say where the TS will happen because it Dariush wins they won't have it in Iran (lol)

Looking past Dariush all the time... It's going to be hilarious if he loses. I'm rooting hard for Beneil!
