Manbij has been captured.

So it looks like the SDF cut a deal to allow ISIS safe passage out of Manbij. ISIS apparently left the city in a 500 car caravan originally headed north towards Jarabulus but now West towards Al-Bab.

That piece of shit ISIS supporter on twitter(Rami I think he calls himself) had a full fucking mental breakdown over ISIS getting kicked out of Manbij. It was quite fun watching that arrogant piece of shit fall apart at the seams

Rebels taking more territory in southern Aleppo while Assad and its supporters fail to make any meaningful gains with counter offensives.

Ahrar remote controlled VBIED on loyalist position in western Aleppo.

The Iranians and Hezbollah must really be getting their shit wrecked and pushed in.

Foreign military operating out of Iranian territory? Unheard of. Since the revolution in '79, the Iranians have believed that allowing a foreign military base or a foreign military to operate from within their borders is tantamount to handing over their sovereignty to another nation.

It must be really, really, bad for them to slaughter this sacred cow.

Guess that pain and pressure in Solemani's ass wasn't just an enlarged prostrate... he was biting that pillow something fierce.

True
Im also wondering what israel is thinking of this
They have had to sit back and watch while despite russian assurances hezbollah is getting training, modern weapons and exp now this

Russia is really keeping up the guessing game with the west/hybrid warfare

Apparently they have also
-approached multiple fsa factions and offered them virtualy unlimited weapons if they switch from pro. u.s to russia(no mentionmof dropping anti assad fighting apparently!)
-have massed armour and troops in ukraine agiain
-the russian pro trump email leak

-Sdf set on moving on al-bab next not raqqua next!! Dispointing u.s command

-alawite rebels strike again this time a general in sweida killed with his 3 bodyguards

-brittish aid worker is first non syrian to bring supplies into aleppo now seige is broken ,joins many aid agenices in decrying u.s working with russia given their activities there.
(Russia must set all bombs to hospital seeking)

-fsa take strategic grain silos for 3rd time in ping pong battle with isis in north aleppo, may move on to al-rai now with turkish artillery support

-rebels in aleppo impose media blackout again (twitter pics /maps being used by rusians for airstrike pinpointing) , had made many gains on various fronts and reportedly taken strategic cement factory before ferocious air strikes forced them out of it before blackout.
Last time they did this it was followed by their recent huge wins.

Makes you wonder why would Poortin even try to prop up Assad to the extent where he could mount any meaningful offensives to recapture the country when keeping him barely floating is giving him so much leverage to blackmail new airbases (essentially Russian territory) in Syria and Iran.

I doubt the Israelis care much. Hez is not a threat to them. The Russians have repeatedly allowed them to bomb Hez positions in Syria. The experience they are getting in Syria is making them seasoned and hardened, but frankly nobody (aside from the Russians, Israelis and US/British Special Operators) in that theater of conflict is displaying anything remotely resembling competence or modern tactical warfare capabilities. They are essentially rival street gangs with heavy weapons. Years from now war colleges will use all the social media vids of this conflict as examples of what not to do. It's pretty bad. A ton of vids of morons wearing all black in broad daylight in a sandy environment before getting dusted by either a sniper or ATGM operator, who probably didn't even need binoculars to spot the asshats to begin with. Ineffective use of artillery, tank turrets being constantly rammed into walls, non-existent unit cohesion, and let's not forget the complete lack of a securing a position after capturing it before running after the next hill or silo or whatever, getting turned back and losing the initial position. It's all laughably amateurish.

Don't get me wrong, it is a very brutal and bloody conflict, but whoever eventually comes out on top would still be annihilated by the Israelis.

Putin only cares about that naval base and now airbase in Syria and doesn't give two shits about Assad or Iranian delusions of pressuring Israel. He's also set up a lot of sigint to monitor NATO communications in Turkey. Now he's leveraging a military presence in Iran (which according to some people on reddit is in direct violation of their own constitution). He'll use that to build a network of contacts within the iranian military and government. He's also negotiating oil production caps with the Saudis. He's done fairly well for himself. He's set himself up as a relatively prominent player and influence peddler in Syria and the ME at large.

Too bad he's not as a shrewd when it comes to Russian domestic issues and economics.

Maybe
Though remember Pre war hezbollah gave the israelis a bloody nose though and now they are getting much better weaponry, training and battlefield exp as well as getting to a sort of internship in modern warfare from russia.....of course that comes with the price of being bled dry.
Id say any use of iranian airbases could expand to assitance like logistics and training on top of moving more modern aa stuff there etc just as they did in syria itself and in crimea
So far israel has bombed as much as its dared to . ..testing the waters , id doubt russia has approved it and are also unwilling to escalate either but we'l see how that holds as iran and hezbollahs presence grows on the syrian israeli border.

That presence is contingent upon Assad's survival or his being replaced with somebody to Iran's liking. Whether or not that comes to fruition remains to be seen.

Frankly, I don't think the Israelis want this war to end. Iran, Saudi, Qatar all spending billions, IRGC, Hez, and various other asshole groups all getting tossed into a meat grinder. All the while the Israelis have a front row seat. Eventually somebody will come out on top, and the Israelis will know exactly what that the strengths and weaknesses of that victor will be and plan accordingly.

Hell, most of the data they need is already on Twitter and LiveLeak.

Clashes in Hasaka between YPG and regime with regime conducting some air strikes, could be big depending on Barrys response.

Kurds are going to be thrown under the bus when the war ends, everyone knows that Turkey is too important for both Russia and the US.

Conflicting. Reports that u.s have already overflown hasaka and regime airstrikes have stopped
So seems barry can impose no fly zones when he feels like it
