Instead of blowing up a crater the first charge punches a hole for the main charge that detonates underneath the runway disturbing the surface in a wide area creating resulting in much harder repairs than simply filling a crater.

[NERD RAGE] Storm Shadow is Cobra Commander's ninja bodyguard from the GI Joe franchise not the X-Men. However, he was created by Larry Hama, who also wrote Wolverine for the majority of the '90s. So I suppose there's at least a tangential connection to the X-men... [/NERD RAGE]

Larry Hama is also a Vietnam Vet (89D). Probably why he was the best writer GI Joe ever had and one of the best Wolverine scribes as well.

Looks like Ghouta will be falling soon.

The strategy of siege starvation and then allowing allowing to besieged to go too Idlib is working.

Which puts al the ''moderate'' rebels in one place where they will inevtiably turn on each other.

And there is nothing the rebels can do to stop it.
