Is Vitor Miranda one of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC?

The guy has looked extremely impressive KO'ing Hester (who I've always suspected isn't particularly good) and Guimaraes. His stand up has looked phenomenal and TDD looks to be pretty on point (he really makes people pay when he stuffs them). This fight with Camozzi will give us a better idea of where he stands against a solid journeyman who's been in there with some of the best (well, one of the best... twice) and has looked rejuvenated in his latest run in the UFC. Specifically, we'll get to see if Vitor can push the pace for 3 rounds against a guy who can take a hell of a shot and keep pressuring/blundering forward.

As of right now, I'm leaning towards Camozzi pulling this one out in a close 3 rounder. I dunno, I just got that feeling.
Camozzi a tough guy but I think he is tailor made for LL.

Him vs Whittaker would be a hell of a striking battle. Doesn't deserve Whittaker just yet though.

After he steamrolls Camozzi, maybe give him Mousasi/Brunson loser.

Because he would get a step up in competition which I think he can't handle, striking or grappling-wise. Is it so hard to understand? Probabilities.

Btw, I said "should".
Disagree on the striking, his stand up is very very good. He was Brazil's top ranked kickboxer/muay thai guy before he even started MMA. His striking is better than most guys in the UFC.

He is a good striker, but there are a lot more better and dangerous strikers in the UFC lol. I am sure Bisping, Mousasi and Weidman would school him. Brad Tavares would sleep him

Maybe I'm expressing myself wrongly, but I believe that striking-oriented guys that are above LL in the UFC wouldn't lose to him, and that grappling guys above him should beat him that way.

He's a good fighter, but nothing great. His fight with Camozzi will be tough and I don't see him winning the next one or two fights.

Please don't kill me

I don't think he will have any problems with Camozzi, a striker himself but not as good as Miranda. Lol at killing you it's a fair opinion you have bro!

Thanks!
I'm not really into Camozzi, I thought he was a bit into Wrestling (seems like he did it a bit in high school) and that would give LL a bit of trouble.
If Camozzi keeps it standing, he loses handily.

I favour LL by 60 to 70%. For real.

Camozzi is actually a muay thai guy himself, but not nearly as good on the feet as Miranda is. Pretty tough fight for him honestly. And yeah, I'd go farther than that. Probably about an 80% chance for me

I hope so. I'm parlaying the bald.

The reasons I see Camozzi taking this one are as follows: he has proven that he has the cardio to go 3 hard rounds and win, the toughness to absorb some crazy punishment, the wellrounded skillset to outgrapple strikers and outstrike grapplers, and (perhaps most importantly) he has looked so improved over last couple of fights it's almost like it's a different fighter in there now. Granted steamrolling Joe Riggs at this point isn't necessarily huge, but the brutal manner in which he did it, combined with how much better he looks physically and how confident he seems in himself now makes me think that he's made some major advances in the mental side of his game. The guy will never be champ, but he is a very tough test for a lot of 185'ers, Miranda included.

If Vitor is as good as I think he is, he can win this one, but not by stoppage (unless he's WAY better than I gave him credit for being). Camozzi is too durable for that, IMO. For Miranda to win he'll have to stop the take downs while dealing with Camozzi's striking for 15 minutes. I haven't seen enough from him at this point to think he can pull that off against Camozzi but if he can this fight will have answered a lot of the questions I have bouncing around in my head about this guy.

Sometimes you just get a feeling about a fight, though, y'know, and this one feels like a chippy, dirty Camozzi victory.

We don't even know what his next fight after Camozzi will be and you're already saying he is going to lose?

He's so dangerous. Vicious.

So anyone above Chris Camozzi should beat him? Roan, Tavares, Dollaway, and Marquardt are all ranked higher than Camozzi and I could easily see Miranda beating all of them.

Btw nothing is guaranteed. We have seen many times a mid tier fighter win and then get either a lower ranking opponent or someone making ufc debut.

Is any of that hard to understand for you? ;)
Alright
