Is Vikings worth a watch?

The show is very good, but as you may have srumised from this thread, it is worth watching for Lagertha alone, played by the insanely gorgeous Katheryn Winnick.

Lagertha >>> Daenerys in my opinion.

I concur. Although they're a smidgen more evenly matched when out of character.

Emilia Clarke >>>>>>>>>>>>> Daenerys

It's worth watching just for Lagertha tbh, it's so nice to have a strong female character that isn't a cunt.

I watched the first two seasons and liked it. Its nothing like game of thrones BTW

Nearly every episode my wife is giving Ragnar shit for running around and ruining his marriage with Lagitha

Sounds like a smart women. I think about that shit every time I see the new wife.

Couldnt get into it. I liked the The Last Kingdom a lot more.

It starts off pretty great, as a dramatic historical story, then as the seasons wind on it somewhat degenerates into a comical mockery of itself, but it's still entertaining.

Uhmm....fuck yes?

Kathryn Winnik is like a hotter version of ScarJo who actually KNOWS how to kick ass. Being both a black belt in Karate and TKD!

...and a registered body guard...

Definitely worth a watch. The way the main character Ragnar, and his brother Rollo interect with and play off each other, and how the actions of each affects the other, is very underrated.

I agree with Lagertha>Aslaugh, but Aslaugh is still pretty hot.

I was cheering for Rollo in season 4.

I guess. Peterson is a stud and teddy Bridgewater is coming along. I would watch the Vikings against Grreen Bay.

Wife material.

The first three seasons are very good.

The fourth (or I guess the first half of the double length season 4) is optional. Lots of very good shows lose steam after season 3, and I think Vikings will ultimately be remembered that way. But who knows, maybe they can prove me wrong.

As to everyone complaining about the lack of nudity, if you stick around, you eventually get to see a lot of Harbard's nipples.

The first two seasons are great and are a nice change from Game of Thrones' slow pace. It's nice to see storylines started and wrapped up over the course of a season.

The third season isn't as good but is somewhat redeemed by some solid action scenes toward the end of the season. You can definitely tell that the budget has increased from season to season. I haven't watched all of the fourth season but it seems also be good but not great.

The worst part of the show is the horrible accents. It's like they told everyone to just make up some random pseudo-European sounding accent.

at first too much weird crap for me, but then i started watching again and there were some legit battles and stuff.

I missed what happened after the Vikings were slaughtered while attacking Paris. Then all of a sudden Ragnar's brother is a French Lord?! I don't think I missed an episode.

So today 2 people (1 at work and 1 at training) both mentioned to me that they watch Vikings and that i should give it a watch. I've heard some good things, but also read online that it is just a poor mans game of thrones.

Anyone watched it?
It's better than that fantasy game of shit series. It's based on REAL actual Ppl in history.
