Is UFC 300 already a disappointment?

Dana White already let us down when he set the expectation of the first prelim blowing our minds and we're getting Bo Dallas vs Cody Luggage. That'll put butts in the seats.
 
The UFC needs a big fight to carry this event and make it feel big but I just can't see it. Maybe they pull out of retirement and do Brock/Tuivasa or Ronda/Pena or something. The best real fights for now would be Islam/Edwards or Izzy/Pereira 3 and not too crazy about that. I think with only 2 more title fights they can possibly put on that there isn't much more room on the top of the card. I hope to be proven wrong, but I know I didn't feel like this for 100 or 200.

McGregor is fighting at a later date and most people complained that he was rumoured to be the main event

Jones is injured till August but that might change now that Usada is out of the picture

And I have no interest in seeing a 42 year old GSP who has not fought in 7 years
 
I think UFC shot themselves in the foot a little bit stacking 298 and 299 so much. MVP vs Holland could have been on 300
 
That's what happens when you barely have any stars. When it comes time to put an actual good card together, you can't.

I never said GSP didn't face Thiago Alves at this event cause he clearly did. I suggest you look at what the last fight on that card was lol.
 
Would’ve been cool to see Jones fight …. No gsp and no Conor is fantastic news

If you add like Diaz Porier and Izzy Alex 3... It's a pretty great card IMO.
 
It costs the same and has the same number of fights, ignore the rounded number nonsense and you'll prob enjoy it, expect every top fight the UFC has on one card and you'll be disappointed

yeah it was Fitch vs some well known japanese fighter at the time, I do remember. Was it Akihiro Gono ? I'm not sure

Um GSP has been retired for years and has said he will never come back on multiple occasions.

Conor? Did anyone actually think that that little egomaniac was gonna share the limelight for a card like this? You'd have to be a fool to think that. The little Diva will need his own card all about him and keep all the clout for himself..

So far they have all just been rumors started by kids on their parent tablets and they have all been debunked. The only one that is likely is Nate being on the card. imho

Paulo Thiago. He's a brazilian fighter who was also part of a special ops police force IIRC.
