I am a pretty big fan of Obama. I don't consider myself a democrat (or republican), so I appreciated how he was able to bring people from all walks of life together.

I have frequently been critical of Trump, saying he was tearing down everything Obama had built. But was I right? Lately I have been thinking that all of Trump's flaws are actually making our first AA president even greater.

Seeing everything fall apart and the worst side of so many people come out makes me think it only highlights what he accomplished.

Like most, I gave Trump a chance but you cant deny the disaster he is any longer. So in regards to Obama's legacy is Trump good or bad?

Also please keep the discussion civil. No need for flaming and personal attacks. This is meant to be more of an historical conversation.

Obama looks good in comparison but that doesnt mean much.

Just what the WR needs. An "Obama was a really cool dude and Trump is a maniac" thread.

Love your work El Viejito, keep it up!

What exactly was Obama's legacy? An unsustainable healthcare law that fines poor people for being poor?

no flaming or personal attacks? this is sherdog dude. you should stick to the Chuck E Cheese forums

Trump has singlehandedly destroyed the lib version of Obama's legacy and replaced it with reality. Per usual tho, libs are going to be the last to realize it.

It's pretty amazing when you consider that Trump has taken on the Bushes, the Clinton's, and the Obama's and is winning.

If he was black enough for rightwingers to call him shit like "purple lips", he was black enough to be called African American.

I wish you guys would stop stereotyping black people as having purple lips. I mean seriously, wtf. Purple lips isn't a black thing it's an Obama thing.

very racist of you .. so whites dictate if you're black or not ...

I came for the flaming and personal attacks....
Is it cool to stick around?

Raised by white mother in Hawaii. Black father abandoned them, yet he is considered black.........Nope! He was a below average white president.

Oh he’s burning that shit to the ground and replacing it with policies that actually put Americans first.

At this point I don't think Trump has much to do with Obama's legacy since the ACA survived.

Over time I suspect Obama will be viewed as a much above average, perhaps outstanding President. The one black mark to me (and I certainly don't understand foreign policy that well) is his inaction with Syria.

Are you forgetting that Obamacare was collapsing under its own incompetent structure, and that’s before republicans repealed the individual mandate (which is a huge deal)?

Obamacare will be remembered as a failure, and the time obama pussied out on pushing for single payer.

Ps, LOL at this thread not being dumped. These Shartdog mods don’t even pretend to hide it...
