Rumored Is time is ticking for Wonderman Thompson?

wonderboy is a pleasure to watch
his striking is as sharp as it gets
the poise is commendable too

just not ufc champ material. ya gotta have at least a little chip on your shoulder

wonderboy is the kindest man in the world as rated by the Guinness book of world records

Of course it is.

Any style that requires the precision to slip punches by milimeters and counter behind it is going to see those fighters get caught as they age and their reflexes and reactions slow even a tiny amount.

So, yes, the clock is ticking. I'd like to see him get some relevant fights and one more title shot very soon, if he keeps winning.

The thing is, especially with high IQ fighters, your body deteriorate but your skills get better.

Perfect exemple is Kevin Durant in the nba. He's older, got a lot of injuries that impacted his body but his smarts and knowledge of the game compensate for his body not being at top form anymore.

Sorry for the bball analogy. I love bball.

For sure, but that only helps so much, once you get over 36, 37, you're done in the lighter weight classes.

This might be a crazy take, and I don’t think he’s more likely than not to be successful we’re he to try this, but I think his best shot at a belt is moving up to mw. He relies so much on speed I think he would actually benefit from being the smaller guy.

I don’t think he has a shot at ww at this point.

Mas just fought for the title in his 50th pro fight. WW elite is kinda old now in general. So it's possible he at least gets the shitle tot.
