Media Is this the most pathetic thing to ever happen in the ufc octogon ?

Not a Conor fan but I thought it was pretty bad ass. It's just business. Dude had a snapped leg and still sat there to do all he could at that point, promote. My ass would've been headed to get goodies before the adrenaline wore off.

Leg in half which left Silva and Weidman screaming in agony yet he was able to sit upright and do an interview.

It's actually insanely impressive he handled it that well, to keep his composure while in that kind of pain is unusual. And he was right it was not a TKO he injured himself kicking Poirier in the thigh it wasn't even checked.

Edit: probably technically medical stoppage since the ref called it off but not a TKO.

In 10 years of following the ufc, i think i never felt so embarrassed for a fighter

Been watching since 97´. . . this ranks WAY up there for sure, considering the stage it was on and Poirier´s in-cage post-fight retorts and commentary burried him so deeply I almost enjoyed it more than the (unfortunately cut) short fight.

Conor may suck as a fighter and a person these days, but you can’t say the dude isn’t the best entertainer MMA has ever seen.

Dudes snaps his leg in half and immediately cuts one of the darkest, most dramatic promos in MMA history.

Everyone else who has suffered and injury like that starts freaking out like a normal person, Conor immediately turns into Tony Montana lol. Great stuff.

This is the most embarrassing post fight interview lol.

This is MMA though, any real fan wants to watch MMA fights. If we wanted to watch mic entertainment we'd watch wrassling, where majority of mic entertainers are better than Conor.

Ok, I watched it back, I see. I couldn't even remember. But by that standard, as embarassing or not that may have been, it should actually have been processed as a Doctor stoppage. Herb did not stop that fight whatsoever.
Doctor stopped it between the rounds, didnt he?

Not sure if you´ve ever broken anything, but composure isn´t that hard. At all. Now, if you´re a Silva or Weidman and you look down at your **unbelievably and unnaturally f&cked up leg**, I can see losing all composure in a moment of panic. Conman was just trying to pre-emptively protect his ego. . . which he then thrashed by unleashing some of the most cringe-inducing insults and threats to DP while red-faced and grimacing on the ground, exaggerating his accent out of insecurity. So Classy.

I think him leaving on a stretcher acting like he was still king of the midgets was more pathetic given he had just had his leg broken and old Mystic Mac had predicted Dustin would be the one leaving on a stretcher.

TKO (doctor stoppage) is how Nate losing to Masvidal is listed. Doctor stoppage is a TKO.

lmao it is quite funny, he is on the ground bleeding after getting knocked out and has no ability to stand crying for a dr stoppage. good point

Unlike wrestling it’s actually real which makes it a lot more interesting.

I know a lot of people like to claim they don’t care about this stuff or aren’t entertained at all by anything other than fighting, but this site was buzzing after that happened. I highly doubt you were completely uninterested and bored by it lol.

Casual question, is there even a doctor stoppage in the middle of the fight? I can't remember any. I mean Chris Weidman breaking his leg against Hall is listed as TKO ffs. Doctor stoppages only happen between rounds, right ?!?

Cuts end a lot of fights.
Those happen during mid round.

Yep I said this too. Weidman or Silva or anyone else goes into immediate panic mode. McGregor's leg gets snapped in half cuts the promo of a lifetime.

Well, yeah he did.
Yet, Sherdog, the global authority in mixed martial arts, lol, lists it as a TKO and not as a Doctor stoppage. Maybe I'm overthinking this and should just consider TKO and Doctor stoppage as synonyms..

Was a pretty Historical night. Joe sitting beside him and interviewing him was hilarious. Then he started talking shit about Poirier's wife. He is lucky Dustin did not walk over to his gimp ass and kick him in the mouth. then Grab Joes mic and say " There, now its a knock out bitch" He probably would not have even gotten in much trouble.

All in all it was pretty Crazy, Pathetic, Petty. Dirt baggish. But this is why people love Conor. He is a fucking egotistical asshole. Love him or hate him, At least he kept it real. He is a nutcase. It was a perfect end to the night.
