Jacinda Ardern has absolutely flawlessly navigated her country through the pandemic so far. Only a nation of complete retards would vote against her leadership.

That’s sort of like saying that a high schooler flawlessly navigated an addition / subtraction quiz. She’s on a little island that’s probably more isolated than any other country of a population of over a million. It had no cases that she simply shut off travel. Business has suffered in New Zealand though - it has suffered the biggest recession ever and has been a complete overkill.

She has been an abject failure but if people are fooled into thinking they are safe and alive because of their leader then obviously they’ll vote them back in

That is misleading. The population of New Zealand is 5 million. You would be looking at 50,000 deaths about. As of today, New Zealand has had just 25 COVID-19 deaths.

Both Germany and South Korea are far more densely populated than the US and have a fraction of the deaths per population than the US. That would be a better example and proof that population/amount of visitors is not the issue. What sets these countries apart is leadership and an actual fckin plan to deal with the pandemic.
