he can't finish fights.

for supposedly the best wrestler in the world, 6 out of his 10 UFC fights (including his last two) went the distance. and against mostly weak opposition.

so is khabib not as amazing a wrestler as the fanboys would have you believe, or was jon jones right in saying "wrestling doesn't finish fights" ?

Wrestling is about taking someone down, and staying on your feet and that won't finish your opponent. But beating on them with gnp for 3 or 5 rounds might not finish someone but definitely can do alot of damage

if it isn't finishing the fight, it can't be that much damage.

When JDS first lost to cain he lost by decision, how much damage do you think he took?

looks like he was in a fight. i've seen worse.
Soooo by your logic then if he looks like he was in a fight and most of that damage came from GnP doesnt that mean GnP is just as powerful as standing strikes?

Wrestling doesn't look great to the average Joe, but I'd rather trade jabs for 5 rounds than have a wrestler hold me down and pound on me for 5 rounds. It hurts worse and is just plain demoralizing to be physically dominated.

17 finishes in 26 fights. Maybe you do a quick search before posting garbage. There is no weak competition in UFC, WWE fan. Well, CM Punk.

Khabib isn't a finishing machine. We should already know this. But he's certainly not a wrestler who just cruises to decisions with top control. Khabib absolutely mauls guys.

The reality is that high level guys don't generally get finished with pure ground and pound. Especially not in the lighter divisions. If they're finished on the ground, it's usually follow-up strikes after they've been hurt on the feet or it's submissions. Khabib isn't a power striker on the feet, and he doesn't sacrifice positioning on the ground to go for submissions. But he certainly does brutalize people on the ground.

He has like 16 finishes in 26 wins. Woodley for example has a lower finishing rate

The rule that doesn't allow to hit the back of the head is what saved Al Iaquinta when he was flat on the ground with on his belly.
