Is there any WW, MW and higher weightclass fighter that have the same skillset as Yan does?

Yan is skilled but not perfect. His two biggest flaws:
1. Too stupid to not knee a clearly downed opponent in the head
2. Too stupid to understand that a fighter shouldn't/doesn't have to keep going after getting illegally KO'd and he has to be DQ'd.

Yeah losing your belt by getting DQd is a massive error. But that vid where he accosted that mentally disabled street person kind of told me he has a few screws loose himself. Great fighter that seems to get stronger as the fight goes on and all that. But there are holes in his mental game. But I do enjoy his fights.

Yan is a little short and his reach isn't great. He figured out a style that works for him. His distance control creates a lot of pressure even though he doesn't throw a tremendous amount of volume. I believe he will do well in his current division but not as well if he moves up.

Volk and Yan are levels above everyone else skill wise. Usman and Izzy have the resume but the other 2 are the most skilled fighters in the world.

-TJ Dillashaw. Great wrestling, great BJJ, great striking, good clinch game and amazing cardio. Issues are with his defense and sometimes with his game planning(rarely though).
-Volkanovski is someone who comes pretty close IMO. Great cardio, striking, feints, wrestling and some good defense. Even with his height disadvantage at featheweight, he's able to close the gap with his feints and mixes his wrestling in extremely well.

Oh shit my dumbass just saw the "WW, MW and higher weightclass fighter that have the same skillset as Yan does?"
I'll just keep what's above and continue with a list with those weight divisions.
-Robert Whittaker is pretty well-rounded, probably one of the most in the UFC. That being said, he has holes in his striking that can be countered. Yan has some holes too, but he's much better at overcoming and countering them(Ex: Sandhagen fight).
-Shavkat Rakhmonov. I know he's only had 2 fights so he's still pretty unknown against elite, but so far he's looking very legit. Great distance striking, wrestling, pace and submissions. The guy is only 27 years old and is 14-0.
-Usman. Now his striking is decent and he has a lot power, what makes it so effective is his wrestling threat. He's not as well-rounded as Yan, but he's amazing at mixing up his tools to get the win over an opponent. Not the most well-rounded though.
-Ankalaev. Great striking, great wrestling and very strong in the clinch. Biggest thing that holds him back is his fight IQ.

So far I only put active fighters, if you want overall accross all eras, this list would be endless.
Idk much else and I would put someone like Jones, but he's not active anymore. There's some more unranked prospects you could put up here, it's just a lot of them are unproven.

I don't know but for now I will say that Yan is almost a perfect MMA fighter

Well kneeing ppl in the head while they are on the ground isn't perfect. His created one of the biggest jokes in MMA with his ill discipline.

Also as good as Yan's striking is, he hasn't really been tested on the ground yet. Someone will take him down and be able to hold him down and grind out a fairly easy win IMO.

It's much easier to look skilled with a small body that's easier to control. The reality is that the big bodies guys are actually much better equipped for fighting.. it's like looking at an insect that lifts 100 times its bodyweight and asking for an elephant to do it while physics would make a creature like that impossible.

We still don't know how yan's bjj is. His wrestling is so good that we've never had to see him grapple for any significant amounts of time. That is the only real unknown in his game.

I'd bet the house on a healthy(probably doesn't exist anymore)Dillashaw beating him pretty cleanly tbh.
