I almost can't consider Miesha to be the real champion, because it's pretty much a forgone conclusion that she's going to get murked when she fights Ronda for the 3rd time. So her reign as champion will only last until UFC 200.

Ronda's just too bad of a match up for her imo. She's a better athlete, she's got the speed advantage, Miesha's wrestling does nothing for Ronda, and I feel even if Miesha can defend the clinch, Ronda will probably outstrike her. Miesha could conceivably barrow a page from Holly Holms book, and keep Ronda at range, But she doesn't have the attributes to pull that off. Miesha's a grinder, that's what she's good at. And grinders are simply the perfect style for Ronda to sink her teeth into.

It looks like her approach has changed and her fight IQ has improved. If she takes an intelligent approach I think she has a good shot considering what has occured since they last fought. She caught me off guard in her post-fight interview on FS1.

She seems to have matured as a fighter and as a person and is able to look at things more analytically. She seems to be able to adjust in fights now. With her toughness it makes her a dangerous out for anyone. I would have said "NO" before.

Maybe. If she doesn't fight like a retard as she did in their second fight. Keep distance from Ronda, counter strike with her, make her come forward and land good shots. Holly pretty much wrote a book on it. Question is can Tate actually stick to the gameplan when Ronda starts to flip her off and call her a bitch. Tate was landing nice shots on the feet in their second fight.

That being said probably Ronda by armbar.

Yes. Rhonda is barely training, eating ice cream, and making movies. Miesha is living this every day. I think the gap has closed.

Rhonda will also being dealing with the doubt that comes from getting stopped in such a way.

Miesha beat the champ so she is the real champion to me. And it doesnt matter if its Holly or Miesha, the old Ronda will armbar both
but who knows maybe its not the same Ronda

I think holly showcased the path to nullify Hondas clinch and throw. I think meisha is smart enough to have learned that simply staying away from Ronda and attacking on angles should help her get the job done.

We don't know how ronda is going to comeback after that losses

After what miesha did you have to give her credit, and it's insane that someone could think she is not a real champ.

Miesha is the champ, she will beat ronda next time

Ill put money on meisha if it happens. Ronda is a mental trainwreck and is still as busy as ever, now is a better time as any for anyone to fight ronda.

For sure. With the right training, coaches and gameplan many a fighter can adapt and overcome challenges that previously seemed insurmountable. It's too hard to say no, because we've seen people make the adjustments necessary in rematches, but we've also seen people fall prey to the same old tricks. Only time will tell.

Ronda's cracked while Miesha has grown stronger. Any aura Ronda had is gone. I'm giving Miesha a chance to take it

Miesha stand up improved, she is probably better than Ronda at it now. Her bjj is also improving everyday, while Ronda sub game is probably the same.

She needs to fight smart though, shooting for TDs against Ronda is stupid.

I think Tate has the tools, can she put it together is the question. That said I hope Ronda comes back strong and Tate beats beast Ronda to defend her belt. Would I bet money on Tate? Hahaha hell no, unless she is heavy as a underdog. Odds are Ronda won't ever be the same and Tate with a game plan takes this fight.

Yea she can take it, stylistically it's tough for Miehsa because you could say they are about even on the feet when Miesha is at her best but the moment the fight goes to the ground, which is the bread and butter of both fighters, there's nothing Miesha can do there but get submitted eventually, so she would need to dominate on Ronda's guard and eventually get back up on the feet and rinse and repeat.

Remember Miesha did well in the second fight.

I've counted out Miesha before and am reluctant to do so again , however I favor Ronda.

So meisha doesn't have the doubt of going in there with someone who damaged her arm??

This is sherdog so I'm guessing that the consensus of this thread is 1meisha can and will beat Ronda but 3 ronda can never win another fight

the tate who fought holm was more calculated, smart and patient she never fought rousey like this

There will be plenty of question marks on what Ronda will return like, and IMO Miesha has been fighting more smarter and been improving more since the second loss to Ronda.

To write off Miesha is just ridiculous, there are plenty of ways for her to win, she needs to get a good game plan together and fight smart along with having some things go her way on fight night.

Would she be the underdog? Absolutely.

I'm sure there will be some doubt on Miesha's end, but that shit was years ago. Moreover, she's been steadily improving ever since, and she also did something Rhonda failed at.

TS...rousey is GOING to quit MMA if she loses to Tate. Tate AND Holm are MUCH stronger than Rousey mentally.
Plus...im thinking tate takes this one. if she doesnt, she needs to retire.
