We have heard the talk for decades, "Mexican Style" and "Mexicans have the biggest hearts". We know for a fact that Mexican fighters, Mexican American fighters or fighters of Spanish decent have cardio and conditioning that is unreal, we see it in all their fights.
We have heard that the "myth" the Mexican heritage makes a tougher fighter... but it doesnt seem like a myth at all. We continue to see Mexican fighters rarely get tired even after being punished to the body when most non Mexican fighters fold. FOR EXAMPLE you have fighters that fought Anderson Silva during his prime championship run finish guys left and right with kicks, punches, knees what have you...finishing LHW's like a massive James Irvin with a straight punch, Forrest Griffin with a jab, a tough as nails Stephan Bonnar juiced to the gills who was near impossible to finish with a knee to the solar plexus.... Then you have Nick Diaz who is of Mexican decent, who fought Anderson Silva for 5 rounds and absorbed everything Silva hit him with and the man still didnt back down.
Every Mexican fighter I have seen thus far in the UFC or MMA for that matter has shown to have that never give up mentality, always keep fighting and will finish the fight until the end despite taking so many punches and kicks that would put down large animals.
It has to be more to it than just a mentality. Many non-Mexican fighters also have the same mentality yet they cant control the fact that head kick puts them to sleep. What makes Mexican fighters so hard to finish/knock out? Is there a real biological reason why they can take so much more damage than non-Mexican fighters?
