When was the last time you sat down and really thought through is there a purpose to my existence?

You are standing on a giant ball that is 2/3 water spinning at a 1,000 mph.

And then there is another ball of fire that is 93 million miles away that never burns up that is keeping us warm.

What is the purpose of you? Are you just an accident?

Where does it come from?

According to wiki:

The formation and evolution of the Solar System began 4.6 billion years ago with the gravitational collapse of a small part of a giant molecular cloud.[1] Most of the collapsing mass collected in the center, forming the Sun, while the rest flattened into a protoplanetary disk out of which the planets, moons, asteroids, and other small Solar System bodies formed.
Is that it?

That the whole story that somehow there was a molecular cloud that was always there that exploded into ours solar system that you see now.

Or maybe there is something greater? That this was wasn't accident. That you weren't an accident.

yes, the latest TWD episode sucked.

Yea, I think about it often, thus far, stumped..

Yes, there is a purpose to our existence, God created us for his plan and purpose. Also, how do you know the Earth spinning at 1,000 mph?

Wind dummy..
No, then the wind would always move at 1,000 mph. Also, the Earth is moving around the sun at 66,000 mph so the "wind" we feel would be incredible.

To add to that, how do you account for days where there is no wind whatsoever?

No, no purpose. And all religions are made up bullshit, before you start in with that angle. My main purpose I guess would be to succeed just to spite the people that said I couldn't. Not much beyond that.

Don't overthink it. The world wouldn't stop turning if you weren't here, but you decided whether you're a burden or a blessing. Be a blessing, not a burden. It's not that hard to make everything around you a little better than when you found it.

I’m sure there is. Or maybe there isn’t. Either way it’s been one hell of a ride.

I don't think that much about it. All the straining and mental gymnastics you would put yourself through wont provide the answer. If you have a purpose, you will serve it or die trying so don't worry about it.

According to the bible:

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
So what the bible tells us...is ....you're not an accident. I'm not an accident. He says He determined exactly where and when you would be born and He would orchestrate circumstances where you would feel your way towards Him and find Him. So according to the bible there's a reason why I'm here right now and why you're reading this right now...

so that you may feel your way towards Him and find Him. Perhaps this is the reason you're online right now is that God orchestrated this right now it's just another step of you finding the creator and the reason for all of this.

**Food for Thought**

Mike, the PROOF religions use to support their narrative is simply a story, a book written , no real proof, this lack of evidence is the juice behind an atheistic view...if we had proof, real proof it would be a closed case..
The atheist view suffers from the same dilemma...no proof that a God doesn't exist...the truth is none of us know, we just like to have opinions. We just like having points of view, we just like aligning ourselves with a belief...

I use to say the same thing. Bible is just a book. A man made book at that.

Who else could have put the words on the page?

But, when life gets you down, storms come and you hit rock bottom...and sooner or later we will all hit rock bottom- you tend to give things a chance for what else do you have to lose? And that's exactly what I did in my life and amazingly enough I found remarkable truth in the bible. In fact, the bible changed everything in my life from personal, financial and most importantly spiritual stance on life.

While there is nothing I can intellectually say to *prove* it to you- all I can say is, 'see for yourself.'

I'm here for 2 things,

To chew gum and bang pussy.

And Im all out of gum.

I don't think about it. I'd drive myself crazy if I did.

Most don't.

In fact - most of us live in denial. As if we're going to live on forever. When in fact death has never been closer to us than it is right now at this very moment.

Wouldn't you want to find out before it's too late?

And neither are satisfying are they?

In the moment sure- but immediately after? It's like a drug addict isn't satisfied with one hit, or the alcoholic with one drink. Always seeking the next high.

I understand the psychology of people who need to think there's something special about them, that they were specifically made.

But I don't see the reason to think there's anything special about any of us, that we were specifically made.

I'm fine with being accidental, the product of many circumstances.

I put my faith on a divinely created world by God. The inner workings and the processes of how God created this world and all the reasons behind it are too intricate for the human mind to understand physically; just like God himself.

This may be too personal of a question - so forgive me if I overstep my boundaries...

but do you drink, do drugs?

Honest question
