Is there a consensus that Mousasi legitimately finished Chris Weidman?

Weidman was gassed and being lit up like a Christmas tree by Mousasi. IMO he looked for a way out of the fight and deserved the TKO loss. Those knees were legal, after all

I'm a Mousasi fan and I thought Weidman could wrestlefuck him for the whole fight even rocked King Mo style.

Ex - Cain vs Kongo. Cain got rocked in the first and just off instinct wrestled his way to victory over Kongo. To this day Cain says he has no recollection of the actual fight.

I thought Weidman could do the same.

I did think Weidman tried to game the system and was a victim of his own mouth.

Weidman wasn't even defending himself before the ref mistakenly broke up the action. the ref saved Weidman from getting hurt, Mousasi was kneeing him in the face with no resistance from Weidman. In my opinion the ref would have been justified in stopping the fight anyway, when a fighter is not defending himself the ref is suppose to stop it.

I wonder how many fucking awful stoppages would occur if they stopped fights mid-fight to ask a fighter who is losing what day it is and see what their answer is.
