This new calculated version of Alistair is doing great... Is he in his prime right now?

Anything's possible in the HW division

He looks good now but the 2008 - 2012 Ubereem was just unstoppable..

Reem always had the tools. He just needed the gameplans. Jackson has rejuvenated Overeem's career(I know he didn't work with him for this fight.)

Yeah, man!

He had two good fights, he's more than in his prime, he's the HW GOAT now!

Of course, he wasn't the GOAT when he got KO'd by Travis, Rothwell and BF, then he was a joke.

And he won't be in his prime or the GOAT when he gets KO'd in his next couple fights. By right now, he is the greatest in the world for sure.

Imagine if he had been fighting this intelligently his whole career. I think the Bigfoot/Browne losses humbled him in the cage. He actually shows respect to his opponents' striking now and paces himself. Now he's wisely picking his shots instead of stalking forward and looking for the kill in the first minute.

He's not in his prime, he's just smarter now, and not so damn cocky

His only real UFC loss was Rothwell... he never should have lost to Brown and Bigfoot and everyone knows that.

He could have been champ 2-3 years ago, but he's just now realizing he can't taunt everybody and still be the best

Yes, I think Overeem is in his prime as an MMA fighter, his biggest weakness have always been his cardio and fight IQ, those are starting to look like strengths and he is fighting much smarter and protecting his chin better. Not throwing long combos(he doesn't have the chin or cardio to throw long combos).

No, but neither is the HW division

Very true, agreed totally. I really like his defense now, he has improved hugely in that aspect. Even JDS was struggling to hit him and JDS has very fast hands for HW. I am impressed!

Reem at his best was the one who fought Hari, Lesnar, Aerts, Spong, Duffee, and others. Reem now has a chance of losing, back then he didn't. Or almost.

if he can beat either Werdum,Stipe or Cain i will be mad impressed

a k.o over Arglasski is nice and all but i would like to see how he does against somebody more durable as the last durable guy he fought against he lose (Rothwell)
