I love close-up macro scenes in the insect world, but in my world there are only a handful of them that I can live in harmony with. The rest should be eradicated.

One film I came to mind when I saw the picture in the OP is Microcosmos from 1996. A film that still holds true today when it comes to picture quality and it is simply fantastic considering the lenses of 70,000 English pounds used for the BBC premium nature films.

Anyway, a scene is a slow zoom in towards a moth that does not look overly enchanting, but then something happens.

Screenshots from my 720p copy on a 27 inch screen. I could only dream of having the movie in 2K or 4K.

They are actually really fun critters..

I've had a couple in a small exotic plant vivarium and one time one escaped..

From the limited interaction we had i was able to tell it would hunt from the best vantage point with the best hiding spots.. ie the top of the bookshelfs or on top of the curtains.. it literally took me 20 seconds to find a 3" bug in a 4 room appartment..
