Most recent example I saw was Joe Warren in Bellator screaming when he got kneebar'd. Can't remember who he was facing.

Yes there is one, and ironically they ignore that quite a lot of their favorite, "super manly tough" fighters are on the tapped to strikes list.

I've noticed the overlap of GSP haters & tapped to strikes insulters is pretty astounding, and for some reason, the FACT that the overwhelming consensus MMA/UFC GOAT has tapped to strikes, and it's basically the only "ammo" that they can use because their favorites aren't as good &/or accomplished as the certified MMA/UFC GOAT GSP.

Who knows what weird things happen to your body when your brain is getting bounced around your skull, your brain can literally hallucinate and feel things that are not real, no one can say how it feels to another man, maybe he feels like he is really going to die, or feels something strange like parts of his body shutting down etc.

One time I got hit in the liver not even that hard, just light sparring, and I felt like someone dumped a bucket of cold water over my entire body, to an outside observer it would have just looked like I was being a bitch over nothing.

I once got hit in the liver with a knee (also "light" sparring) and my body shut down completely. Not a pleasant feeling at all...

I have no problem with a fighter tapping to strikes but it really shouldn't come down to that. Either the ref or the fighters coach should've stopped the fight by that point. People shit on fighters who tap to strikes when they should really be shitting on the coach for not taking care of their fighters.

It depends. Some guys tap out before the ref should intervene. Some guys do actually quit when they could have hung on. Some guys lose the grit they once had... But at the top level,barring an injury of some kind,usually the fighter is really just too hurt and dont see a way out.

If a pro fighter is tapping out i feel like it's hard to say they should've/ could've hung on. I'm sure you're right that it has happened but i doubt that's the norm. If a concussed fighter can tell he's done, the ref and his corner should be able to see that.

It's not something I believe in, but didn't it start with the fighters themselves? Chuck Liddell used to bring that up sometimes.

Maybe they changed it, or maybe I'm wrong, but I don't tbink the corners can stop the fight - between rounds they can, but not in the middle of the action with a towel. Isn't that the case? Anybody else remember this coming up?

You're right that it's against the rules but it only results in your fighter being disqualified which is the outcome you're looking for when throwing in the towel. It's a pretty ridiculous rule and punishment for violating said rule.
